PostHeaderIcon Wet Boots

This tutorial was written by me on 10 December 2008.  Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
 
Supplies Needed:
 
Tube of choice.  I am using the awesome artwork of Al Rio. I purchased this tube when CILM was still open.  If you would like to purchase his work now, you can get it at several scrap kit stores, one being Twilight Scraps.
 
Scrapkit.  I used the gorgeous scrap Season's Greetings by Just a Girl's Designs.  If you wish to purchase this kit, you can here.
 
Template 32 made by me.  You can download it from my blog here
 
Snow Animation
 
Font of choice.  I used Roselyn (pay font)
 
 
Plugins:
 
Xenofex 2 - Constellation
 
 
Animation Shop (opt)

Ok!  Let's get started!  Open up my template.  Duplicate by holding shift + d.  Close the original.  Delete the credit info layer. 
 
Highlight your white background.  Open up the deco from the kit.  Resize it by 65%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Apply Mura Meister Copies with the following settings:

Apply Constellation with the following settings:

Resize the encircled decos by 65%, smartsize.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 3.00.   Duplicate the encircled decos 3x for a total of 4.  Position them to your liking .(see my tag for reference)
 
Highlight the circle 1 layer.  Go to selections > select all.  Selections > float.  Selections > defloat.  Open up a background from the kit.  Resize the paper by 35%, smartsize.  Add a new raster layer to your working image. Copy your paper and paste into selection.  Deselect (CTRL+D)  Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00.  Delete the gray circle 1 layer.
 
Highlight the circle 2 layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Add a new raster layer to your working image.  Go to paste into selection (the paper you used for circle 1 should still be on your clipboard)  Deselect.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00.  Delete the gray circle 2 layer. 
 
Highlight the black rectangles 1 layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper from the kit.  Resize by 46%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Move the paper into the selection.  Go to selections > invert.  Hit delete on your keyboard and deselect.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00.  Delete the black rectangles 1 layer.
 
Highlight the black rectangles 2 layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Paste the same paper as before (it should still be on your clipboard) as a new layer onto your canvas.  Move the paper into the selection.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete and deselect.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00.  Delete the black rectangles 2 layer.
 
Highlight the gray rectangles 1 layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper from the kit.  Resize by 46%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Position within the selection.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete and deselect.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00.  Delete the gray rectangles 1 layer.
 
Highlight the gray rectangles 2 layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Paste the same paper as before as a new layer onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete.  Deselect.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00.  Delete the gray rectangles 2 layer.
 
Open up a snowflake wreathe of choice.  Resize by 65% smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Apply constellation, same settings as before.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 7.00.  Duplicate the wreathe.  Position the wreathes to your liking on the small rectangles.
 
Highlight the brackety shape layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 46%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as new layer onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete.  Deselect.  Give the layer a drop shadow of  H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 10.00.  Delete the gray brackety shape layer.
 
Highlight the frame background layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a background from the kit.  Resize by 35%, smartsize.  Add a new raster layer to your working image.  Copy the background and paste into selection.  Do NOT deselect yet!!
 
Open up the window from the kit.  Resize by 70%, smartsize.  Add another raster layer to your working image.  Copy the window and paste into selection. Deselect.  Give your window a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00.  Delete the gray frame background layer.
 
Hide your window layer and the template frame layer.  Merge all visible layers together.  Copy the merged layer.  Open up Animation Shop.  Paste as a new animation in AS.  Duplicate until you have a total of 20 frames.  Select all frames (CTRL+A)
 
Open up the medium snow MNG file.  Select all frames (CTRL+A)  Copy.  Highlight your tag layer.  Go to edit > paste into selected frame.  Position and left click your mouse.  Repeat this step one more time so the background is covered in snow.
 
Back to Paint Shop Pro.  We are going to finish our tag.  Unhide your window layer.
 
Highlight the frame layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 46%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as new layer onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete on your keyboard.  Deselect.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00.
 
Open up a bow of choice from the kit.  Resize by 20%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00.  Duplicate the bow.  Go to image > mirror.  Position the bows to your liking on the bracket shape.
 
Open up a Christmas ball of choice.  Resize by 15%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00.  Duplicate the ball.  Position them on the bows.
 
Open up another christmas ball of choice.  Resize by 20%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Give it the same drop shadow you gave your other christmas ball.  Duplicate the ball.  Position them to your liking on the frame.
 
Open up a button bow of choice.  Resize by 15%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 6o, Blur 5.00.  Duplicate the button bow.  Go to image > mirror.  Position them to your liking on the circles.
 
Open up your tube.  Resize as necessary, bicubic.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 15.00.  Position the tube to your liking.
 
Open up the gift boxes.  Resize one by 15% and the other by 20%, smartsize.  Copy and paste them onto your canvas.  Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 8.00.  Position them to your liking.
 
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
 
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.  
 
Hide the merged layer that has your white background.  Merge all visible layers together.  Copy.  Paste as a new animation in AS.  Duplicate until you have a total of 20 frames.  Select all frames (CTRL+A)  Highlight your snow/tag animation.  Go to edit > paste into selected frame.  Position and left click your mouse. 
 
Crop and resize (bicubic resample)
 
Optimize and save as gif.
