Nice to be Naughty

This tutorial was written by me on 11 December 2008. Any simliarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. Preferably a close up. I am using the artwork of Eugene Rzheveskii. I got this tube when he was still with MPT. You can find his art here now.
Scrapkit. I am using the brightly colored awesome collab kit Naughty or Nice by Sarah and TammyKat of Pimp My Tags. If you wish to purchase this awesome kit, you can here
Template 71 made by me which you can download here
Font of choice. I used Santa's Sleigh Full which you can download here

Eyecandy 5 Textures - Texture Noise
Animation Shop (opt)
No other supplies needed

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the square 1 layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Delete the gray square 1 layer.
Highlight the sqaure 2 layer and repeat the same steps you did with sqaure 1 using the same paper.
Highlight the circle 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect!
Open up lights of choice from the tk folder. Resize the lights by 65%, smartsize. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the circle. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect!
Open up the string star sequins from the sbnaughty or nice folder. Resize them by 45%, smartsize. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position to your liking. Hit delete. Deselect.
Highlight your paper circle 1 layer and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Delete the gray circle 1 layer.
Highlight the circle 2 layer and repeat all the steps that you did with the circle 1 layer.
Highlight middle rounded rectangle fill ayer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Delete teh gray middle rounded rectangle fill layer.
Highlight the middle rounded rectangle frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 6.00. Delete the white middle rounded rectangle frame.
Highlight the left rounded rectangle fill layer.. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect.
Open up 2 glitter stitches of choice from the sb folder. Copy and paste as new layers onto your canvas. Position them to your liking within the rectangle. Hit delete. Deselect. Give both glitter stitches a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00. Delete the gray left rounded rectangle fill layer.
Highlight the right rounded rectangle fill layer and repeat all the steps you did with the left.
Highlight the left rounded rectangle frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 6.00. Repeat all these steps with the right rounded rectangle frame. Delete both white frames.
Highlight the circle background layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect!
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give your tube a drop shadow of H -9,V -3, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Delete the black circle background layer.
Highlight the circle frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give teh layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 6.00. Delete the white circle frame.
Highlight the 3 frames background layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect!
Open up your tube again. Resize, same as you did before. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position it right on top of the other tube layer. Hit delete. Deselect. Delete the gray 3 frames background layer.
Highlight the 3 frames layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%s, smartize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 6.00. Delete the gray 3 frames layer.
Open up the naughty label from the sb folder. Resize by 40%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Position in the left sqaure frame.
Open up the nice label from the sb folder. Resize, 40%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it the same drop shadow you gave the naughty label. Position in the right sqaure frame.
Open up an ornament from the sb folder. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the ornament. Position them to your liking.
Open up the knotted ribbon from the sb folder. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the ribbon and position at the top of the ornaments.
Open up a poinsetta of choice from the tk folder. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the poinsetta. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Open up a glitter tree from the tk folder. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Duplicate the tree. Go to image > mirror. Position them as in my tag above.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers.
Unhide and highlight your white background. Open a glitter border of choice from the tk folder. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Go to adust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with the following settings:
Radius - 5
Strength - 25
Clipping - 1
Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Duplicate the glitter border. Go to image > mirror. Image > flip. Duplicate each glitter border 5 times, so you have a total of 12 glitter border layers. Position them as in my tag above. Hide your merged layer and your white background. Merge all of your glitter border layers together.
Give the glitter borders a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00.
Give the glitter borders a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight the glitter border layer. Apply Eyecandy 5 Textures, texture noise with the following settings:
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo texture noise. Apply texture noise again, but this time hit the random seed button. Copy merged and paste after your current frame in AS.
Repeat the above step 3 more times for a total of 5 frames.
Select all frames (CTRL+A)
Change the frame properties to 12.
Optimize and save as gif.
