This tutorial was written by me on 15 December 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the ethereal artwork of Maxine Gadd. If you wish to use her artwork, you must purchase a license with MPT.

Ok! Let's get started! Open up a new transparent image 800 x 800. (we can crop and resize later) Floodfill with white.
Open up frame 1 from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Grab your selection tool, mode rectangle, feather set at 0.00. Draw a rectangle around the empty space of the frame like this:
Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste as new a layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Drag your paper layer beneath your frame layer.
Open up your tube. Resize if necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give your tube a drop shadow of H 4, V -4, Opacity 35, Blur 6.00. Position to your liking within the frame. Duplicate your tube layer. Make sure one tube layer is above your frame, and one below it.
Grab your eraser tool, size 25, opacity 100. Highlight your bottom tube layer, and erase any parts of the tube that you don't want hanging out of the frame. Highlight your top tube layer and do the same.
Highlight your frame and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 10.00.
Open up a vintage xmas flower of choice. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 15.00, both boxes unchecked. Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with the following settings:
Radiance - 5
Strength - 15
Clipping - 1
Give the flowers a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate your flowers. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored flower. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped flower and go to image > mirror. Drag all of the flower layers beneath your frame and position like this:
Open up another vintage flower of choice. Resize by 40%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 25.00, both boxes unchecked. Give the flowers a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the flowers. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored flower. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped flower and go to image > mirror. Drag all flower layers beneath your frame and position like this:
Highlight your top layer. Open up swirl 5 from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the swirl. Go to image > mirror. Position as so:
Open up swirl 2 from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a dro shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the swirl and go to image > mirror. Position as so:
Open up a double bow of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the bow. Go to image > mirror. Positon them where the swirls meet. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a Christmas Star of choice. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the christmas star. Go to image > mirror. Position in the middle of the sides of the frame (see my tag for reference)
Open up a snowflake of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the snowflake. Go to image > mirror. Position them next to the christmas stars.
Open up another snowflake of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Position below the flower on the frame, where the 2 swirls meet. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a christmas flower of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the flower. Position them in the upper corners of the frame. (see my tag for reference)
Open up another christmas flower of choice. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Position it in between the 2 smaller christmas flowers.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background. Merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 80%, bicubic.
Unhide and highlight your white background. Open up a ribbon of choice from the kit. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Apply Mura Meister Copies with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00.
Highlight your white background again. Open up another ribbon of choice. Resize by 40%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Mura Meister Copies, same settings. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Apply Chelle's mask with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all Mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Apply Snow Drift to the mask with the following settings:
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight your mask layer. Apply DSB Flux Bright Noise with the following settings:
Apply a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 5.00 to the mask. Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop and paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo drop shadow. Edit > undo bright noise. Apply bright noise again, but this time hit the mix button. Apply a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 5.00. Copy merged and paste after your current frame in AS.
Repeat the above steps 2 more times for a total of 4 frames.
Optimize and save as gif.
