This tutorial was written by me on 21 November 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the adorable sexy artwork of Amano Jyaku.I purchased this tube when CILM was still open. As far as I know, there is no longer any place you can purchase his artwork for tags/layouts. Just use another Christmas tube of your choice.

Font of choice. I used Miss Le Gatees (pay font)

No other supplies needed.

Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the rectangles 1 layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the black rectangles.
Highlight the rectangles 2 layer and repeat the above steps, using the same paper.
Highlight the circle 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the circle a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray circle.
Highlight the circle 2 layer and repeat the same steps, using the same paper.
Highlight the circly shape layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 12.00. Delete the gray circly shape.
Highlight the bracket layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 10, Blur 10.00. Delete the gray bracket.
Highlight the stocking fill 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the white stocking fill layer.
Highlight the stocking 2 fill layer and repeat the same steps as above.
Highlight the stocking circle 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper that contrasts with the fill layer. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00. Delete the gray stocking circle.
Highlight the stocking circle 2 layer and repeat the same steps as above.
Open up the tree. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 8.00. Position to the right of your tag. (see mine for reference)
Open up the sign from the kit. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it the same drop shadow you gave your tree. Position it to your liking on the left rectangles. Drag the sign layer below your circly shape. (see my tag for reference)
Highlight your top layer. Open up the xmas card from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Position to your liking on the top circle. Drag the card below your circly shape layer.
Highlight your top stocking circle layer. Open up a button of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Position it on your top stocking circle.
Highlight your bottom stocking circle layer. Open up the word string. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Position to your liking on the bottom stocking circle layer. (see my tag for reference)
Highlight your top layer. Open up a bulb of choice. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the bulb. Position to your liking.
Open up another bulb. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00. Position to your liking.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Position on the string of yoyr bigger bulb.
Open up a box of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00. Position in front of the tree.
Open up the lights. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Position in the middle of the bracket.
Open up your tube. Resize, bicubic as necessary. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give the tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Position to your liking.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers. Duplicate your merged layer. On the bottom layer, go to adjust > blur > guassian blur. Apply with a radius of 5.00. Go to effects > texture effects > weave. Apply with the following settings:
Still on the blurred layer, apply eyecandy gradient glow with the following settings:
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.
If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, merge all layers together.
Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 15, feather set at 0.00. Click inside each of the green bulbs on the lights so that there are marching ants (around the bulb only!) Go to adjust > brightness/contrast:
Brightness: 25
Contrast: 25
Deselect. Copy. Open up animation shop. Paste as a new animation.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo select none. Edit > undo brightness/contast.
Grab your magic wand tool again, same settings. Click inside each of the red bulbs. Go to adjust > brightness/contrast:
Brightness: 25
Contrast: 25
Deselect. Copy. Paste after frame 1 in AS. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 25.
Optimize and save as gif.
