Valentine Bling

This tutorial was written by me on 6 January 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the stunning artwork of Jennifer Janesko. I purchased this tube when CILM was still open. You can find her at CDO now.
Scrapkit. I am using the elegant scrapkit All About Love by Babycakes Scraps. If you wish to purchase this stunning kit, you can here. Thank you, Lynne!!
Template 97 made by me which you can download here.
Font of choice. I used Pristina. (pay font)
Plugins:
Xenofex 2 - Constellation
Animation Shop (opt)
No other supplies needed

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the circle 1 layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 74%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Delete the dark gray circle 1 layer.
Highlight the circle 2 layer. Repeat all the same steps you did, using the same paper, that you did with the circle 1 layer.
Highlight the brackets layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 74%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new a layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray brackets layer.
Highlight the hearts fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 74%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray hearts fill layer.
Highlight the hearts frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 74%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect!!
Open up an overlay of choice from the kit. Make it your background. Add a new raster layer. Selections > invert. Floodfill the new layer with the overlay. Deselect. Delete the gray hearts frame layer.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the heart frame. Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 35, Blur 10.00. Duplicate your tube. Make sure one your tubes is above the hearts frame and the other below.
Grab your magic wand tool. Highlight your hearts frame layer. Click inside the empty spaces of the frame. Selections > invert. Hide your top tube layer, and highlight your bottom tube layer. Grab your eraser tool, size 35, opacity 100. Erase the parts of the tube you don't want hanging out of the frame. Deselect.
Highlight your top tube layer. Erase the parts of the tube you don't want hanging out of the frame.
Open up the pink bling from the kit. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 1.00. Duplicate the bling. Go to image > mirror. Then, image flip. drag both blings below your bracket layer. Position them to your liking on the circles.
Open up the jewel spray from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0l, Opacity 60, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the bling. Go to image > mirror. Then image > flip. Drag both layers to right above your white background. Position them to your liking.
Highlight your top layer. Open up the single blossom from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the blossom. Position them to your liking on the hearts frame.
Open up the glitter flower from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the flower. Position them to your liking on the bracket layer.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 20.00 degrees, both boxes unchecked. Go to adjust > sharpen. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Position to your liking on the top circle.
Open up the purple flower from the kit. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. GIve it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Position to your liking on the bottom circle.
Highlight your white background. Open up the scattered jewels. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 90.00, both boxes unchecked. Duplicate the jewels. Go to image > mirror. Then image > flip. Position to your liking.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background. Merge your visible layers together.
Highlight your white background. Open up the jewels swirl from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Duplicate the jewels swirl. Go to image > mirror. Position as in my tag above. Hide your white background and your merged layer. Merge the 2 jewel swirls together. Duplicate the jewels swirl layer. Go to image > flip. Position as in my tag above.
Open up the jewels swirl again. Resize, 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 90.00, both boxes unchecked. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position as in my tag above. Merge all of the jewels swirl layers together.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, then save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight your jewels swirl layer. Apply Constellation with the following settings:
Give the jewel swirls a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 30, Blur 1.00. Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new layer in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo drop shadow. Then, edit > undo constellation. Apply constellation again,but this time hit the random seed button. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 30, Blur 1.00. Copy merged and paste after current frame in AS.
Repeat the above steps 2 more times for a total of 4 frames.
Select all frames. (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 14.
Optimize and save as gif.
