Unwrap Me

This tutorial was written by me on 20 December 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the artwork of Jessica Dougherty. I purchased this tube when CILM was still open. If you would like to purchase her artwork, you can at CDO.
Scrapkit. I am using the festive kit Jingle Bells by Aussie Scrap Designs. You can purchase this wonderful kit at Aussie Scrap Designs Store HERE
UF Mask 32 by sunf. You can download this mask plus many other goodies HERE

Ok! Let's get started! Open up the unwrap me template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit layer. Add a new raster layer. Arrange > send to bottom. Floodfill the new layer with white.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply the UFMask32 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Layer
Hide all mask.
Delete the mask from your layer palette. Answer yes to the pop up box and merge the group. Give the mask a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00.
Highlight the raster 1 layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Postion the paper within the selection. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Delete the raster 1 layer.
Highlight the raster 2 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up another paper from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize.Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00.
Open up a ribbon from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position in the middle of the scalloped brackets. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00. Highlight the bigger scalloped bracket layer. Select, float and defloat. Highlight your ribbon layer. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect.
Open the white tree. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Center the tree on the brackets.
Open up a couple of ornaments. Resize one by 10%, and the other by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste them onto your canvas. Give them both a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate them as many times as you like and "decorate" your tree with them.
Open up frame 1 from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position it so it is centered within the brackets.
Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 30, feather set at 0.00. Click inside the empty spaces of the frames. Go to selections > modify > expand by 4.00.
Open up the winter scene. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the frame. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Drag your winter scene layer below your frame layer. Highlight the winter scene. Apply Xero Clarity with the following settings:
Hide your frame layer. Merge all visible layers. This is what you should have merged together:
Copy. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS. Duplicate so you have a total of 10 frames. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Open up the snow mng fil in AS. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Copy. Highlight your tag canvas. Go to edit > paste into selected frame. Position the snow over the image. Left click your mouse.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Unhide your frame layer. Highlight it.
Open up the poinsetta from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position them at the ends of the ribbon.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the bow. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored bow. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped bow. Go to image > mirror. Position the bows on the 4 corners of the bigger scalloped bracket.
Open up the gifts. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the gifts. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 12.00. Position to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.
Hide your merged layer. Merge your bows, frame, tube, poinsettas,the gifts, and your text layers together. Copy.
Paste as a new animation in AS. Duplicate until you have a total of 10 frames. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Copy. Highlight your snow tag animation. Go to edit > paste into selected frame. Position so that the frame fits over the winter scene. Left click your mouse.
Resize, bicubic resample to your liking.
Optimize and save as gif.
