This tutorial was written by me on 20 December 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Carlos Cartagena. If you wish to use his artwork, you must purchase a license with MPT.
Scrapkit. I am using the lovely North Pole by Soxsational Scraps. If you wish to purchase this kit, you can here. Thank you, Tracey!

Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the middle circle layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Don't deselect!! Open up a garland from the kit. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Hit delete. Deselect(CTRL+D) Give the garland a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the garland. Go to image > flip. Highlight the paper circle layer. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Delete the gray middle circle layer.
Highlight the left circle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up another paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect. Open up the other garland. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 90.00. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the garland a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Highlight the paper circle and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the dark gray left circle layer.
Highlight the right circle layer and repeat all the steps you did with the left circle layer, except rotate the garland to the right.
Open up the image. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. It should fit perfectly within the window. If it doesn't, position so that it does.
Highlight the window. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00.
Open up the lights from the kit. Resize by 73%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Position the lights on the bottom ledge of the window. Grab your freehand selection tool, type point to point, feather set at 0.00. Carefull select around the edges that are hanging over the window. Hit delete and deselect. Duplicate the lights. Position the duplicated lights on the upper ledge of the window.
Open up a flower of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position the flowers at the edge of the lights on the upper ledge. Duplicate both flowers one time. Positon the duplicated flowers at the ends of the lights on the bottom ledge.
Open up another flower of choice. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position the flowers in the middle of both sides of the window.
Open up berries of choice. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the berries. Go to image > mirror. Position the berries in the middle of the window.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing. Hide your white background. Merge your visible layers together. Resize your merged layer by 85%, smartsize. Apply Xero Porcelain with the following settings:
Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with the following settings:
Radius 5
Strength 30
Clipping 1
Open up the white flare. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 1.00. Duplicate 4 times. Position a flare on each of the lights on the tree in your image.
Highlight your white background. Open up a snowflake from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Mura Meister Copies with the following settings:
Go to adjust > add/remove noise > add noise. Apply with Random and Monochrome checked and a value of 19. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 12.00. Position to your liking.
Open up the cherry pie tube. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. Save as JPG or PNG.
