This tutorial was written by me on 6 December 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
2 tubes of choice. I am using the gorgeous artwork of Jennifer Janesko. I got this tube when CILM was still open. You can find her at CDO now.
Scrapkit. I am using the stunning kit Winter Twilight by Baby Cakes Scraps. If you wish to purchase the beautiful scrap, you can here. Thank you, Lynne!!
Template 66 made by me. You can download it from my blog here
Silver Fill HERE Put this in your patterns folder.
Font of choice. I used Celeste which you can download here

Xenofex 2 - Constellation
Xero - Radiance
No other supplies needed

Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the circle layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Go to your materials palette and find the Silver Fill. Make it your background. On your working image, add a new raster layer. Fill the new layer with the silver fill. Deselect (CTRL+D). Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 12.00. Delete the dark gray circle layer.
Open up the round frame from the scrapkit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. (I colorized my frame but this is optional) Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position as in my tag above. Give the frame a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 4.00.
Highlight the rectangle fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Delete the light gray rectangle fill layer.
Highlight rectangle frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with your silver fill. Deselect. Give the silver frame a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 7.00. Delete the black frame.
Highlight the diamonds 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Apply Xero Radiance with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 8.00. Delete the black diamonds 1 layer.
Highlight your diamonds 2 layer and repeat the same steps you did with your diamonds 1 layer, using the same paper.
Highlight the star middle fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray star middle fill.
Highlight the star point fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray star point fill layer.
Highlight the star frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with your silver fill. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray star frame.
Highlight the bracket 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect yet!!
Open up your first tube of choice. Resize, bicubic, as necessary. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Hit delete and deselect. Change the blend mode of the tube to Luminance (Legacy). Apply Constellation with the following settings:
Give the tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Highlight the paper bracket and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray bracket 1 layer.
Highlight the bracket 2 layer and repeat all the steps you did with the first bracket, but mirror your tube.
Open up the garland from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Constellation, same settings as before. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 8.00. Duplicate the garland. Drag both garland layers beneath your diamond layers and position as in my tag above.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the bow 3x, for a total of 4 bows. Position them on the ends of the garland. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a snowflake of choice. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the snowflake 3x, for a total of 4 snowflakes. Position them over the bows.
Open up the midnight bow from the scrapkit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the bow. Go to image > mirror. Drag both bow layers beneath your bracket layers. Position them as in my tag above.
Open up your main tube. Resize, bicubic as necessary. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Position to your liking.
Open up the gift box from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the gift box and position to your liking around your tube.
Open up a flower of choice from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Constellation, same settings as before. Give the flower a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the flower. Resize the duplicated flower by 75%, smartsize. Duplicate the resized flower. Position them to your liking.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 90%, smartsize. Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with the following settings:
Radius - 5
Strength - 10
Clipping - 1
Unhide your white background and highlight it. Open up the bling from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Apply unsharp mask, but change the strength to 15. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give the bling a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the bling. Go to image > mirror. Position the blings to your liking.
Hide your white background and your merged layer and merge the 2 bling layers together.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight your bling layer. Apply Xenofex Constellation with the following settings:
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo constellation. Apply Constellation again, but this time hit the random seed button. Copy merged. Paste after your current frame in AS.
Repeat the above steps, two more times for a total of 4 frames.
Select all frames (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 12.
Optimize and save as gif.
