Strawberry Garden

This tutorial was written by me on 8 April 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
2 tubes of choice. I am using the adorable artwork of Suzanne Woolcott. If you wish to use her artwork, you must purchase a license here.

Frame made by me (included in supplies)
Font of choice. I used Scrap Swirl (pay font)
No outside filters needed

Ok! Let's get started! Open up the frame from the supplies. Delete the credit info layer. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill with white. Right click on your layer palette. Arrange > send to bottom.
Highlight the 2 smaller fill layer. Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 30, feather set at 0.00. Click inside your left square of the 2 smaller fill layer, so that there are marching ants all around it.
Open up a paper from the kit. Resize the paper by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Don't deselect yet!
Open up your first tube of choice. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Postion to your liking within the selection. Hit delete. Deselect (CTRL+D). Give your tube a drop shadow of H 3, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00.
Duplicate the paper layer. Go to image > mirror. Make sure it is properly positioned over te right square of the 2 smaller fill layer.
Highlight your tube layer. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Make certain it is positioned properly.
Delete the dark gray 2 smaller fill layer.
Highlight the middle fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up another paper from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Position to your liking within the selection. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard and deselect.
Highlight the frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 8.00.
Delete the gray frame layer, the gray middle fill layer, and the gray 2 smaller fill layer.
Highlight the middle fill paper layer. Open up a Bead Chain of choice from the kit. Resize by 55%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position in the center of the middle fill layer. Give the beads a dropshadow of H and V 2, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00.
Highlight the middle fill paper layer again. Open up Strawberry 3 from the kit. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give them a dropshadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Position in the center of the middle fill paper layer.
Open up the strawberry cake from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V -1, Opacity 90, Blur 2.00, Color White. Now give it another drop shadow of H -1, V 1, Opacity 90, Blur 2.00. Color White. Position the cake on top of the strawberries.
Open up tree 2 from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position the tree centered behind the middle frame, so that the top of the tree almost touches the top of the canvas. Give the tree a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 6.00.
Open up the garden trellis chair from the kit. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position the trellis chair so that the bottom end of the seat is lined up with the bottom of the middle frame. (se my tag for reference) Give the chair a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00.
Open up the garden trellis from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 3, V -2, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the garden trellis. Go to image > mirror. Position them behind the 2 smaller frames, so that the top of them almost reach the top of the trellis chair. (see my tag for reference)
Open up Strawberry Flower Pot 1 from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Mirror the duplicated flower pot. Position them behind the smaller frames, in front of the trellis'. The tops of the flowers should almost reach the top of the trellis. (see my tag for reference)
Open up flower 1 from the kit. Resize by 40%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 3, V -2, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the original flower 1 time and the mirrored flower 1 time for a total of 4 red flowers. Position two of them on either side of the top of the tree. Drag both of the flower layers beneath the tree layer. (see my tag for reference) Position the 2 remaining flowers towards the bottom of the trellis chair, so that part of it can be seen from behind the 2 smaller frames. (see my tag for reference)
Open up flower 3 from the kit. Resize by 55%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 3, V -2, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them next to the top red flowers so that they overlap a bit. Drag both cream colored flowers beneath the red flowers. (see my tag for reference)
Open up Strawberry 2 from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give the strawberries a drop shadow of H 3, V -1, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the strawberries. Go to image > mirror. Position them behind the outer corners of the smaller frames, next to the bottom red flowers. (see my tag for reference)
Highlight your top layer. Open up white flower 1 from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position one flower in the left upper corner of the middle frame, and the other in the right bottom corner.
Open up flower 9 from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position one in the bottom left corner of the middle frame, and the other in the upper right corner.
Open up a butterfly of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 5.00. Duplicate. Mirror the duplicated butterfly. Position them at the bottom of the 2 smaller frames.
Open up strawberry 8 from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -3, V -2, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the strawberry. Mirror the duplicated strawberry. Position them on the outer sides of the smaller frames. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a bow of choice from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the bow. Mirror. Positon the bows on the stems of the strawberries.
Open up Strawberry Plant 3 from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V -1, Opacity 70, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the strawberry plant. Mirror it. Position them underneath the 2 smaller frames. Duplicate the original strawberry plant. Position it in between the other 2 strawberry plants.
Open up your main tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of h and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 9.00. Position your tube in the center of your tag.
Duplicate the original strawberry plant and the mirrored strawberry plant. Drag these two plant layers to the top of your layer palette. Position them slightly in front of the other strawberry plants. (see my tag for reference).
Add any other embellishments, if you like.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. Save as JPG or PNG.
