Stocking Stuffer

This tutorial was written by me on 31 October 2008. Any similarites to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the stunning artwork of Maxine Gadd. If you wish to use her artwork, you must purchase a license with MPT

White Christmas Tree. I recieved this tube through a yahoo group. If it belongs to you, please let me know so I can credit you properly or take it out of my supplies.
Template made by me (included)
Font of choice. I used Chateau (pay font)

Eyecandy Nature Snowdrift
Let's get started! Open up the template. Highlight your white background. Open up a wreathe frame of choice. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Position your frame to your liking between the two shapes. (see my tag for reference)
Highlight the circle layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the scrapkit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray circle layer.
Open up the white christmas tree. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position the tree on top of the circle. Give the tree a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 20, Blur 6.00.
Open up a bow of choice from the scrapkit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position it at the top of your tree. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00.
Open up 5 or 6 christmas balls. Resize them by about 7%, smartsize. Copy and paste them onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Decorate your tree with them.
Highlight your circle layer. Open up a ribbon of choice. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Give it the same drop shadow you gave your balls. Duplicate the ribbon. Mirror and flip the duplicated ribbon. Position them to your liking.
Open up 2 candles of choice. Resize the first one by 30%, smartsize. Resize the second on by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste them onto your canvas. Give them both a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 30, Blur 9.00. Position to your liking (see my tag for reference)
Open up the candle flame. Resize by 8%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Duplicate the flame. Position the flames on top of your candle wicks.
Highlight your bracket layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper that contrasts with your circle paper. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the black bracket layer.
Open up the Christmas window. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position the window in the middle of your bracket. Give the window a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 20, Blur 7.00.
Open up the christmas border. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Eyecandy Nature Snow Drift with the following settings:
Give the border a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 7.00. Position the border at the bottom ledge of the window. Grab your selection tool, type rectangle, mode add, feather 0.00. Carfully select around the ends of the border that are hanging over the window. Hit delete. Deselect. Duplicate the border. Go to image > flip. Position the duplicated border on the top window ledge.
Open up a ribbon of choice. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give the ribbon a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the ribbon. Go to image > mirror. Position the ribbons at the sied of the window.
Open up a christmas flower of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it the same drop shadow you gave your ribbon. Duplicate the flower and mirror it. Position them at the top corners of the window.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking and give it the same drop shadow you gave your flower.
Open up another 2 candles of choice. Resize 1 by 30%, smartsize. And the other one by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste them onto your canvas. Give them both a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 30, Blur 9.00. Position opposite of the first 2 candles. Duplicate the flame 2 x, and position them on top of the candle wick.
Open up another candle of choice. Resize it by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto canvas. Position it in one of the bottom window panes. Open up the flame. Resize by 5%, smartsize. Position it on top of the wick. Drag both the flame and the candle beneath the window layer.
Open up your tube. Resize bicubic, if necessary. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Mirror your tube. Give the tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Position your tube to your liking within the window. Grab your freehand tool. Select around the part of the tube that is hanging out of the window. Hit delete and deselect.
Open up your tube again, resizing if necessary. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Position to your liking.
Crop and resize to your liking. Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. Merge your layers together. Save as JPG or PNG.
