This tutorial was written by me on 15 May 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the stunning artwork of Jennifer Janesko. I purchased this tube when CILM was still open. You can now get her artwork at CDO.
Scrapkit. I used Ooh So Sweet Chocolate by Vamp Productions, now known as Rebecca's Darkest Desires. If you wish to purchase this lush kit, you can here. Thank you, Becky!
Template 159 made by me, which can be found here.
WSL Mask 134 by Chelle of Wee Scot Lass tutorials.
Font of choice. I used P22 Corinthia. (pay font)
Plugins:
Xero Filters - Bad Dream XL
DSB Flux - Bright Noise
VM Extravanganza - Transmission
Eyecandy 5 Textures - Weave
Animation Shop (opt)

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the top layer.
Highlight the sparkles layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. (CTRL + D) Apply DSB Flux Bright Noise with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 2.00. Delete the light gray sparkles layer.
Highlight the stripes layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Delete the gray stripes layer.
Highlight the circles layer. Select, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer. Choose 2 bright colors that match your tube. In your materials palette, make a gadient - Style Linear. Angle 45, Repeats 1. Floodfill your new layer with the gradient. Deselect. Apply bright noise, same settings as before. Give the layer a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Opacity 45, Blur 3.00. Delete the dark gray circles layer.
Highlight the shape fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect yet!
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking. Duplicate your tube. Hide your top tube layer. Drag the hidden tube layer above your shape layer. Highlight your unhidden, bottom tube layer. Hit delete. Deselect. Apply Xero Bad Dream XL with the following settings:
Change the blend mode of the tube to Screen. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Delete the dark gray shape fill layer.
Highlight the shape layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Highlight and unhide your top tube layer. Hit delete. Don't deselect yet.
Open up a ribbon chain from the kit. Resize by 695%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position towards the bottom of the shape so that the chain links are in the center. Grab your eraser tool, size 40, Opacity 100. Erase the ends of the ribbon chain that are hanging over the shape. Deslect.
Highlight your top tube layer. Give the tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Change the blend mode of the tube to Screen.
Highlight the paper shape layer. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Oapcity 80, Blur 10.00. Delete the black shape layer.
Highlight the stars 1 fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray stars 1 fill layer.
Highlight the stars 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 7.00. Delete the gray stars 1 layer.
Highlight the stars 2 fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray stars 2 fill layer.
Highlight the stars 2 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 7.00. Delete the gray stars 2 layer.
Open up a beads of choice. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position them to your liking.
Open up a butterfly from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position the butterflies to your liking.
Open up a sunflower from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 5.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them at both ends of the stripes, underneath the circles layer.
Open up the glitter flower from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate. Mirror the duplicated glitter flower. Positon them at both ends of the ribbon chain.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Highlight your white background. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with the gradient you used for the circles. Apply WSL Mask 134 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all Mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Apply Eyecandy 5 Textures - Weave with the following settings:
Apply Xero Bad Dream XL, same settings as before. Lower the opacity of the mask to 70. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, Opacity 55, Blur 3.00.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight your shape layer. Apply VM Extravaganza Transmission with the following settings:
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo transmission. Apply Visman Transmission again, but change the Line Width to 3. Copy meged. Paste after frame 1 in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo transmission. Apply Transmission again, but change the Line Width to 4. Copy merged. Paste after frame 2 in AS.
Select all frames (CTRL+A). Change the frame properties to 13.
Optimize and save as gif.
