Shy Girl

This tutorial was written by me on 16 May 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
2 tubes of choice. I am using the sexy artwork of Keith Garvey. I purchased this tube when he was still with MPT. You can now purchase his artwork at PSP Tubes Emporium.

Font of choice. I used CAC Shishoni Brush which you can download here.
Plugins:
DSB Flux - Bright Noise
Xero Filters - Soft Mood XL

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the middle rectangle fill layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D). Delete the black middle rectangle fill layer.
Highlight the middle rectangle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 9.00. Delete the gray middle rectangle layer.
Highlight the 2 rectangles fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Apply Gradient Glow with a color of choice, using the following settings:
Apply one more time. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Delete the black 2 rectangles fill layer.
Highlight the 2 rectangles layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 80, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray 2 rectangles layer.
Highlight the outer circles layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Don't deselect yet.
Open up your main tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position to your liking. Duplicate your tube. Hide the top tube layer. Highlight the bottom tube layer. Grab your eraser tool, size 35, opacity 100. Carefully erase the parts of the tube you don't want hanging over the frame. Deselect. Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 35, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray outer circles fill layer.
Drag your hidden tube layer above the circles layer. Highlight the inner circle fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray inner circle fill layer.
Highlight the circles layer. Select, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with a color of choice. Deselect. Give the circles layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 80, Blur 6.00. Unhide the top tube layer. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 35, Blur 8.00. Grab your eraser tool, same settings as before. Carefully erase the parts of the tube you don't want hanging out of the frame. Delete the gray circles layer.
Highlight the Shy Girl fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the black shy girl fill layer.
Highlight the shy girl outline layer. Apply DSB Flux Bright Noise with the following settings:
Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00.
Highlight the squares frames fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Open up your 2nd tube of choice. Resize as necessary bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within one of the squares. Hit delete. Don't deselect yet.
Open up element 53_09 from the kit. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the square over your tube. Grab your eraser tool, size 20, opacity 100. Erase the ends of the ribbon that you don't want hanging over your square. Deselect. Give the ribbon a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror.
Highlight your tube layer. Apply Xero Soft Mood XL with the following settings:
Now go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with Radius 5, Strength 30, Clipping 1. Change the blend mode of the tube to Luminance (Legacy). Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Delete the gray sqaures frames fill layer.
Highlight the sqaures frame layer. Leave as is, or add a paper or color. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 6.00.
Highlight the plastic staples layer. Colorize to your liking. Give them a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 3.00.
Open up element 80_09. Reszie by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2and V -1, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Position the heart towards the upper left of the tag. Drag the layer to right above the white background layer. Grab your magic wand tool, feather set at 15. Click inside the empty space of the heart. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position within the selection. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete 2x. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 45, Blur 3.00. Highlight the glitter heart and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00.
Duplicate the glitter heart. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Highlight the heart paper layer. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. They should be positioned as in my tag above.
Open up element 27_09. Resize by 75%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Positin behind the left upper corner of the top rectangle. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 7.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position the pink flowers as in my tag above.
Open up element 78_09 from the kit. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V o, Opacity 70, Blur 5.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position them on top of the pink flowers.
Highlight your top layer. Open up element 23_09. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V -1, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them as in my tag above.
Open up element 20_09. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate right by 90.00 degrees, both boxes unchecked. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V -2, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Position at the right end of the bottom rectangle. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position the duplicated blue flower at the left end of the top rectangle.
Open up element 26_09 from teh kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking on the square frames.
Open up element 4_09 from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V -1, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position the two pink flowers to your liking or see my tag above.
Open up element 46_09 from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Position the butterfly to your liking or see my tag for reference.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 85%, smartsize.
Duplicate your merged layer. Highlight your bottom merged layer. Go to adjust > blur > gaussian blur. Apply with a radius of 20. Apply Penta Filters - Jeans to the blurred layer with the following settings.
Add a new raster layer to your working image. Go to selections > select all. Open up a paper from the kit. Paste into selection. Deselect. Apply Vix Mask 320 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all mask.
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Apply Constellation to the mask with the following settings:
Give the mask a drop shadow of H -3, V 0, Opacity 45, Blur 4.00.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.
Save as JPG or PNG.
