Spring Fling

This tutorial was written by me on 5 may 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
2 tubes of choice. I am using the sexy artwork of Elias Chatzoudis. I got this tube when he was still with MPT. You can get his art at PSP Tubes Emporium now.

Font of choice. I used KF Puff (pay font).

Ok! Let's get started! Open up a new transparent image 700 (H) x 750 (W). Floodfill with white. Open up frame 1 from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate Left by 90.00, both boxes unchecked.
Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 50, feather set at 0.00. Click inside the empty space of the frame so that there are marching ants all around the middle. Go to selections > modify > expand by 6.00.
Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Don't deselect yet.
Open up your first tube of choice. Resize, if necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the frame. Hit delete. Deselect (CTRL+D). Give your tube a drop shadow of H -5, V -2, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Now give it a drop shadow of H 4, V 2, Opacity 40, Blur 6.00.
Drag your frame to the top of your layer palette. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 80, Blur 10.00. Hide your white background and merge your visible layers.
Open up frame 3 from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them as in my tag above. Hide your white background ad merged layer and merge the two frame 3 layers together.
Grab your magic wand tool again. Click inside all the 3 of the empty spaces. Go to selections > modify > expand by 6.00. Open up another paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Open up the puff garden from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Hit delete. Open up the resize puff garden again. Mirror it. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position next to the puff garden. Hit delete. Deselect. Give both puff garden layers a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Highlight your merged frame 3 layer, and drag it above the puff garden layers. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 8.00.
Open doubleribbon 1 from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V -1, Opacity 60, Blur 4.00. Position towards the top of the merged frame 3 layer. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a fabric flower from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking on the ribbon.
Open up loopedribbon 2 from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Coopy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Image > flip. Position them behind your frame 3 layer. (see my tag for reference)
Hide your white background and merge your layers together.
Open up the rainbow from the kit. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -3, V-2, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position as in my tag above.
Highlight your white background. Open up frame 2 from the kit. Resize by 75%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to the right of the canvas and slightly above. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Resize the duplicated frame by 90%, smartsize. Position to the left and slighty down. (see my tag for reference.
Grab your magic wand tool, same settings as earlier. Highlight the larger frame. Click inside the empty space. Go to selections > modify > expand by 4.00. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Drag the paper layer beneath your frame layer. Give the frame a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 8.00. Highlight the left frame and repeat.
Open up ribbon 1 from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the white frames. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Oapcity 60, Blur 5.00.
Open up the knotted double bow 1 from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position to your liking on the white frames.
Highlight your top layer. Open up bow 1 from the kit. Resize by 18%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 90%, bicubic.
Highlight your white background. Open up the glitter cloud from the kit. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 8.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position as in my tag above. Merge the 2 glitter cloud layers together.
Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 50, feather set at 20.00. Click inside the empty spaces of the clouds. Open up a paper from the kit. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Apply FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss with the default settings. Drag the paper layer beneath the clouds.
Highlight your white backgound. Add a new raster layer. Go to selections > select all. Open up a paper from the kit. Copy. Paste into selection. Deselect.
Apply WSL Mask 174 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all Mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Give the mask a drop shadow of H -2, V -1, Opacity 45, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position as in my tag above.
Highlight your top layer. Open up your main tube. Resize, if necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -5, V -2, Opacity 65, Blur 10.00. Positon to your liking.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.
Save as JPG or PNG.
