Snuggle Garden

This tutorial was written by me on 7 May 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the adorable artwork of Amanda Fontaine. I got this tube with AMI when they were still open. Check here on info to get her artwork now.

Font of choice. I used Lindsay Triangles. (pay fonts)

Ok! Let's get started! Open up a new transparent image 800 x 650. Floodfill with white. Open up frame4 from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Duplicate. Position the 2 frames side by side so that they overlap just slightly. Hide your white background, and merge the 2 frames together.
Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 50, feather set at 0.00. Click inside the empty spaces of the merged frames. Go to selections > modify > expand by 5.00. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. (CTRL+D). Drag your paper layer beneath your frame layer. Highlight your merged frames layer and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 80, Blur 10.00.
Open up a ribbon of choice from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position in the center of the frame. GIve it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Drag the ribbon beneath the merged frames layer. Grab your freehand selection tool, type point to point, feather set at 0.00. Carefully select around the ends that are hanging out of the frames. Hit delete and deselect.
Open up the beehive from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. GIve it a drop shadow of H 3, V -1, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position as in my tag above.
Open up a butterfly from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. GIve it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking on the merged frames.
Open up the bee from the kit. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. GIve it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Position to your liking.
Open up the dragonfly from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Position to your liking.
Open up the fence from the kit. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position as in my tag above. GIve it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 80, Blur 8.00.
Open up the watering can from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, BLur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Open up a flower pot from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Open up doodle 4 or 5 from the kit. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate by 90.00 degrees, both boxes unchecked. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position as in my tag above.
Hide your white background. Merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 90%, bicubic.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper from the kit. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Apply WSL Mask 161 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Duplicate the mask. Mirror it. Position them as in my tag above. Merge the 2 mask layers together.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, then save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight your merged tag layer. Apply VM Natural Sparkle with the following settings:
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo sparkle. Apply Sparkle again, but slide the random seed button to 100. Copy merged. Paste after frame 1 in AS.
In PSP, edit > undo. Apply Sparkle again, but this time slide the Random Seed button to 220. Copy merged. Paste after frame 2 in AS.
Optimize and save as gif.
