This tutorial was written by me on 12 December 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the nostalgic artwork of Edward Reed. I got this tube when CILM was still open. You can find him at PSP Tubes Emporium now.
Scrapkit. I am using the gorgeous scrap Sally Snow by Just a Girl's Designs. If you wish to purchase this scrap, you can here. Thank you, Tamara!!

Font of choice. I used Andes, which you can download here
Plugins:
Eyecandy 5 Nature - Icicles and Snow Drift
Xero Filters - Porcelain
No other supplies needed

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the rectangle layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D). Apply Eyecandy Nature Snow Drift with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Delete the black rectangle layer.
Highlight the 2 rectangle layers. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 69%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray 2 rectangles layer.
Highlight the scalloped shape 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up another paper of choice. Resize by 69%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Delete the dark gray scalloped shape 1 layer.
Highlight the scalloped shape 2 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice. Resize by 69%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Apply Snow Drift, same settings as before. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 10.00. Delete the white scalloped shape layer.
Highlight the bracket shape layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 69%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect.
Open up a snowbank of choice from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 6.00. (when you close the snowbank make certain you don't save the changes!!) Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position it at the bottom of your bracket shape. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect.
Copy and paste the snowbank (resized and with the drop shadow) as a new layer onto your canvas. Drag it beneath your other snowbank layer. Position it a little above your other snowbank (so it kind of looks like hills) Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect.
Delete the gray bracket shape layer. Highlight your paper bracket shape layer and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00.
Open up the house from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position so that the bottom of the house is covered by the snowbanks. Select, float and defloat your house. Add a new raster layer. Apply Eyecandy Nature Icicles to the new layer with the following settings:
Deselect. Highlight your icicles layer. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the icicle layer.
Open up a deco corner of choice. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Position it on the left upper corner of your bigger scalloped shape (see my tag for reference). Duplicate the deco corner. Go to image > mirror. Position on the right upper corner of the scalloped shape. Duplicate the deco corner again. Go to image > flip. Position at the bottom right corner. Duplicate the corner again. Go to image > mirror. Position on the bottom left corner. Drag all four deco corner layers to just above the large scalloped shape layer.
Open up the holly berries from the kit. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the berries. Go to image > mirror. Position them at the ends of the rectangle layer. (see my tag for reference)
Highlight your house layer. Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste as new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Position to your liking in front of the house.
Open up the fence from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00. Position to your liking in front of your tube.
Grab your freehand selection tool, type - point to point, feather set at 0.00. Carefull select around the ends that are hanging over the house and the snowbanks. Hit delete and deselect.
Highlight your top layer. Open up the snow sign from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Position to the left of your tube. (see my tag for reference)
Open up the snowpost2 from the kit. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Position to the right of your tube. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a flower of choice from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position them at the bottom of your signs.
Open up the Christmas tree from your kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Position it as in my tag above.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Position to your liking on the Christmas tree.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers. On your merged layer, apply Xero Porcelain with the following settings:
Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with the following settings:
Radius - 5
Strength - 15
Clipping - 1
Unhide your white background. Highlight it. Open up a snowflake 4 from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 8.00.
Open up a few other snowflakes from the kit. Resize them by 15-20%, smartsize. Copy and paste them onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 2.00. Duplicate them to your liking and position them to your liking. (see my tag for reference)
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and text. Save as JPG or PNG.
