Show the Way

This tutorial was written by me on 26 January 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the amazing artwork of Elias Chatzoudis. I bought this tube when he was still with MPT. You can find him at PSP Tubes Emporium now.
Scrapkit. I am using the lovely scrap Kiss Kiss by Soxsational Scraps. If you wish to purchase this wonderful kit, you can here.
Template 110 made by me which you can download here.
Mask 18 by Sophisticate Simone. You can download it from her site here.
Font of choice. I used Fatty Heart Filled which you can download here.
Plugins:
Xero Filters - Soft Mood
Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow
Animation Shop (opt)
No other supplies needed

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the middle doodle layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 2.00. Delete the black middle doodle layer.
Repeat the above steps with the remaing 2 doodle layers.
Highlight the heart layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 82%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray heart layer.
Highlight the 3 circles fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 82%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Mirror your tube. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Postion to your liking within the selection. Hit delete and deselect. Apply Xero Soft Mood with the following settings:
Duplicate your tube. Change the blend mode of the bottom layer to Luminace (Legacy). Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 8.00. Change the blend mode of the top layer to Overlay. Delete the white 3 circles fill layer.
Highlight the 3 circles frame. Select, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with a color of choice. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 4.00. Delete the gray 3 circles frame.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Position to your liking on the frame.
Highlight your white background. Open up a flower of choice. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. GIve it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position as in my tag above.
Open up a ribbon from the kit. Resize by 85%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00. Position on top of the flowers.
Open up a flower swirl. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 60, Blujr 2.00. Duplicate the swirl. Go to image > mirror. Position as in my tag above.
Open up blood roses 1 from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the roses. Go to image > mirror. Position as in my tag above.
Open up a word art of choice. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 1.00. Position to your liking.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. GIve it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 10.00. Position to your liking.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Highlight your white background. Add a new raster layer. Apply Simone's mask with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to layer
Hide all mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group.
Apply Cross Shadow with the following settings:
Give the mask a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 45, Blur 2.00. Position to your liking.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, grab your freehand selection tool, type point to point, feather set at 0.00. Highlight your tube layer. Select around the areas you would like to add noise to. Go to adjust > add/remove noise > add noise. Apply with gaussian and monochrome checked, value set at 20. Deselect. Copy merged. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo select none. Edit > undo noise. Apply noise again, but change the value to 30. Deselect. Copy merged. Paste after frame 1 in AS.
In PSP, go to edit > undo select none. Edit > undo noise. Add noise, changing the value to 40. Deselect. Copy merged. Paste after frame 2 in AS.
Highlight frame 2. Copy. Paste after frame 3.
Optimize and save as gif.
