My Heart

This tutorial was written by me on 22 January 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the great artwork of Ed Mironiuk. I bought this tube when CILM was till open. You can find his art at CDO now.
Scrapkit. I am using the lovely Valentine kit, First Love by Designs by Ali. If you wish to purchase her kit, you can here. Check out her blog for the freebie add on! Thank you, Ali!!

Ok! Let's get started. Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the heart doodle 1 layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 88%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D). Give the layer a drop shadow of H 1, V -3, Opacity 70, Blur 2.00. Delete the black heart doodle 1 layer.
Highlight the heart doodle 2 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up the same paper you used before. Resize, 88%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H -1, V -3, Opacity 70, Blur 2.00. Delete the black heart doodle 2 layer.
Highlight the rectangle fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resizse by 82%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray rectangle fill layer.
Highlight the stripe layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 82%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Delete the dark gray stripe layer.
Highlight the 3 hearts fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 82%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the white 3 hearts fill layer.
Highlight the 3 hearts frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 82%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Delete the black 3 hearts frame layer.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 12.00. Position to your liking in front of the three hearts.
HIghlight your rounded ractangle frame layer. Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 30, feather set at 1.00. Click inside the empty space of the frame. Go to selections > modify > expand by 1.00.
Highlight your tube layer. Go to selections > invert. Grab your eraser tool, size 30, opacity 100. Carefully erase the part of the tube you don't want hanging out of the frame. Deselect.
Open up a bow from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 5.00. Position to your liking on the bottom heart doodle.
Open up a flower of choice from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 5.00. Position on the bow to your liking.
Open up a butterfly of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the butterfly. Position them to your liking.
Highlight your white background. Open up another flower of choice. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position them as in my tag above.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing. I used a couple from the freebie add on.
Hide your white background. Merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 90%, bicubic. Apply Xero Porcelain with the following settings:
Go to adjust > sharpness > sharpen. Apply with the following settings:
Radius - 5
Clipping - 2
Strength - 15
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Don't resize and copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply the mask with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all Mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Give the mask a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 2.00.
Highlight your merged layer. Grab your freehand selection tool, type point to point, feather set at 1. Carefully select around the area you would like to animate. Apply Xero Fritillary with the following settings:
Deselect. Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo select none. Edit > undo fritillary. Apply fritillary again but change the variation to 134. Copy merged. Paste after frame 1 in AS.
Back to PSP. Edit > undo select none. Edit > undo fritillary. Apply again but change the variation to 136. Copy merged. Paste after frame 2 in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo 2x. Apply fritillary again, but change the variation to 138. Copy merged and paste after frame 3 in AS.
Back to PSP. Edit > undo 2x. Apply fritillary, changing the variation to 140. Copy merged and paste after frame 4 in AS.
Select all frames (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 12.
Optimize and save as gif.
