PostHeaderIcon Seduction

This tutorial was written by me on 18 December 2008.  Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
 
Supplies Needed:
 
2 tubes of choice.  I am using the stunning artwork of Jennifer Janesko.  I purchased this tube when CILM was still open. You can find her work at CDO now.

Scrapkit.  I am using the awesome scrap Seduced by Sarah of Pimp my Tags.  If you wish to purchase this wonderful kit, you can here.  Thank you, Sarah!!

Font of choice.  I used Ephesis.  (pay font)

Xero Filters - Porcelain

Ok!  Let's get started!  Open up the template.  Duplicate by holding shift + d.  Close the original.  Delete the credit info layer.
 
Highlight the flowers and butterfly layer.  Go to selections > select all.  Selections > float.  Selections > defloat.  Open up a paper from the kit.  Don't resize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Go to selections > invert.  Hit delete on your keyboard.  Deselect (CTRL+D)  Apply Lokas Drop with the following settings:

Give the layer a drop shadow of H 1, V 1, Opacity 50, Blur 2.00.  Delete the white flowers and butterfly layer.
 
Highlight the frame fill layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 78%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete.  Deselect.  Delete the gray fill layer.
 
Open up the branch overlay.  Resize by 60%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00.  Position to your liking on the fill layer.
 
Highlight the dotted rectangle layer.  Select, float and defloat. 
 
Highlight the frame layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 78%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete and deselect.  Delete the black frame layer.
 
Open up your tube.  Resize as necessary, bicubic.  Highlight your top layer.  Copy and paste your tube onto your canvas.  Give your tube a drop shadow of H -8, V -8, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00.  Position to your liking within the frame.
 
Highlight your frame layer.Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 30, feather set at 1.00.  Click inside the empty space of the frame.  Go to selections > modify > expand by 1.00.  Selections > invert.
 
Grab your eraser tool, size 35, opacity 100.  Highlight your tube layer.  Carefully erase the part of the tube you don't hanging out of the frame.  Deselect.  Highlight your frame layer.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00.
 
Highlight the roses layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 78%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete.  Deselect.  Apply Lokas Drop, same settings as before.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H 2, V -2, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00.  Delete the gray roses layer.
 
Highlight the tear fill 1 layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 78%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete.  Don't deselect!
 
Open up your second tube.  Resize as necessary.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Position to your liking within the selection.  Hit delete and deselect.  Change the blend mode of the tube to Multiply.  Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 8.00.  Delete the gray tear fill 1 layer.
 
Highlight the tear fill 2 layer.  Repeat the same steps you did with the tear fill 1 layer, but this time, mirror the tube.
 
Highlight the tear frame 1 layer.  Select, float and defloat.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 78%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete and deselect.  Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00.  Delete the white tear frame 1 layer.
 
Highlight the tear frame 2 layer and repeat all the same steps you did with the tear frame 1 layer.
 
Open up a wrap of choice.  Resize about 60%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 8.00.  Grab your freehand selection tool, type - point to point, feather set at 1.00.  Carefully select around the ends of the wrap that is hanging out of the frame.  Hit delete and deselect.
 
Open up a bow of choice.  Resize by 25%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00.  Duplicate the bow.  Go to image > mirror.  Position the bows at the tops of your tear frames.
 
Open up a ribbon from the kit.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00.  Go to image > free rotate.  Rotate right by 90.00, both boxes unchecked.  Grab your free hand selection tool, same settings as before.  Carefully select around the ends of the ribbon that hang over the frame.  Hit delete and deselect.  Duplicate the ribbon 2 times.  Position them as in my tag above.  Drag all 3 ribbon layers beneath your frame layer.
 
Open up one of the ruffled ribbons.  Resize by 85%, smartsize.  Copy and pste onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00.  Duplicate the ribbon.  Go to image > flip.  Position them as in my tag above.  Drag both ribbon layers to right above your white background.
 
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
 
Hide your white background.  Merge your visible layers together.  On your merged layer, apply Xero Porcelain with the following settings:

Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask.  Apply with the following settings:
 
Radius - 5
Strength - 20
Clipping - 1
 
Highlight your white background.  Open up a paper from the kit.  Don't resize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Apply the mask with the following settings:
 
Source Luminance
 
Fit to Canvas
 
Hide all mask.
 
Delete the mask from your layer palette.  Answer yes and merge the group.  Resize the mask by 90%, smartsize.  Center it on your canvas.  Apply Land K's Filter - Zitah with the following settings:

Give the mask a drop shadow of H 1, V 1, Opacity 35, Blur 1.00.
 
Crop and resize to your liking.
 
Add your copyright info, watermark and text.  Save as JPG or PNG.
