New Year Masquerade

This tutorial was written by me on 21 Decemeber 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the lovely artwork of Elizabeth Austin. I bought this tube when CILM was still open. I don't know where you can get her work now, so just use a tube you like instead.
Scrapkit. I am using the elegant kit Winter Masquerade by Babycakes Scraps. If you wish to purchase her kit, you can here.

Champagne bottle tube
Font of choice. I used Cocktail Bubbly which you can download here

Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight your white background. Open up the two scatters from the kit. Copy and paste them onto your canvas. Give them both a drop shadow H 1, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00. Duplicate them as many times as you like and position them to your liking (see my tag for reference)
Open up two gold leaves of choice. Resize them by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste them onto your canvas. Give them both a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00. Duplicate each leaves one time. Position them as in my tag above.
Highlight the black dotted rectangle. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Add a new raster layer. Pick a dark color from yor tube. Floodfill the new layer with your chosen color. Deselect. (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 1.00. Delete the black dotted rectangle layer.
Highlight the gray dotted rectangle layer. Select, float and defloat. Choose a medium color from your tube. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with your chosen color. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 1.00. Delete the gray dotted rectangle.
Highlight the circle fill 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Do NOT deselect yet!!
Open up a mask from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Hit delete and deselect. Give the mask a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 3.00. Delete the gray circle fill layer.
Highlight the circle 2 fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect!
Open up the teal stars from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Hit delete and deselect. Give the stars a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 80, Blur 2.00. Delete the gray circle fill 2 layer.
Highlight the circle frame 1 layer. Apply DSB FLux Bright Noise with the following settings:
Give the frame a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00.
Highlight the circle frame 2 layer. Repeat all the same steps that you did with frame 1.
Highlight the oval fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 69%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect!
Open up the fireworks tube. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Copy and paste the fireworks one more time. Position to your liking. Hit delete on your fireworks layer. Then on your second. Deselect. Apply Constellation with the following settings to both fireworks layers:
Delete the gray oval fill layer.
Highlight the oval frame layer. Apply DSB Bright Noise same settings as before. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65. Blur 6.00.
Highlight the big rectangle fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 69%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Do NOT deselect!
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Mirror your tube. Paste as a new animation onto your canvas. Position to your liking. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Change the blend mode of the tube to Luminance (legacy) Give the tube a drop shadow of H -5, V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 5.00. Delete the gray big rectangle fill.
Highlight the big rectangle frame. Apply DSB Flux Bright Noise, same settings as before. Give the frame a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00.
Open up the other mask from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Go to image > mirror. Position the mask on the right corner of the big rectangle frame.
Open up an ornament of choice. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 7.00. Position on the left side of the big rectangle frame.
Hide the small rectangle frame layer. Merge all visible layers together. Copy. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Duplicate until you have a total of 13 frames. Select all frames (CTRL+A)
Open up the Fireworks Animation. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Copy. Highlight your tag animation. Go to edit > paste into selected frame. Position the fireworks animation within the black rectangle. Left click your mouse.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Unhide your small rectangle frame. Apply DSB Flux Bright Noise with the same settings as before. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00.
Open up a snowflake gem of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the snowflake. Position to your liking on the small rectangle frame.
Open up a charm bow of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Position the bow to your liking on the small rectangle frame.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 11.00. Position to your liking.
Open up the champagne bottle. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 80, Blur 2.00. Position to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.
Hide your merged layer. Merge the rest of your layers together. Copy the merged layer that has your tube.
Paste as a new animation in AS. Duplicate until you have a total of 13 frames. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Copy.
Highlight your tag/firework animation. Go to edit > paste into selected frame. Position so that the small rectangle frame fits over the black firework animation.
Resize, bicubic resample to your liking.
Optimize and save a gif.
