Happy New Year

This tutorial was written by me on 25 December 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Dominic Marco. I bought this tube when CILM was still open. You can find his art at his store here now.
Scrapkit. I am using the festive Kit New Year by Candy's Treats. If you wish to purchase this kit, you can here.
Template 84 made by me which you can download here.
Fireworks tube
Font of choice. I used Happy New Year (pay font)
Plugins:
Xenofex 2 - Constellation
Xero Filters - Bad Dream

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the 3 diamonds layer and the credit info layer.
Highlight the circle 1 layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 69%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Apply Xero Bad Dream with the following settings:
Delete the gray circle 1 layer. Highlight the paper circle layer. Open up a music note of choice from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the circle. Give the music note a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00. Highlight the paper circle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a velvet ribbon of choice from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Drag the ribbon layer above your music note layer. Give the ribbon a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00.
Highlight your circle 2 layer and repeat all the same steps that you did with the circle 1 layer.
Open up a velevet bow that matches the ribbon. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00. Duplicate the bow. Go to image > mirror. Position the bows to your liking on the ribbons.
Highlight your square layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 69%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect!!
Open up the fireworks tube. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the square. Hit delete. Don't deselect yet!!
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Grab your eraser tool, size 30, opacity 100. Erase the part of the tube you don't want hanging out of the square. Deselect.
Highlight your tube layer and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 12.00.
Highlight the sqaure paper layer and give it the same drop shadow you gave your tube. Delete the gray square layer.
Highlight the fireworks layer and apply constellation with the following settings:
Highlight your paper square layer. Open up a glitter border of choice. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Using your pick tool, make it fit within the square. Go to adjust > sharpen.
Open up the broken stitches. Resize them by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 2.00. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 90.00, both boxes unchecked. Duplicate the stitches. Go to image > mirror. Position the stitches as in my tag above.
Open up a glitter mess of choice. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Mura Meister Copies with the following settings:
Give the encircle glitter the same drop shadow you gave your stitches. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position one circle glitter, behind each of the paper circles. (see my tag for reference)
Open up another glitter mess of choice. Resize, 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it the same drop shadow you gave the glitter circle. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking.
Highlight the blinkie layer. Duplicate. Hide the top blinkie layer and highlight the bottom one. Grab your magic wand tool, feather set at 0.00. Click inside every other square. Choose a color that matches your tube. Floodfill the selected squares with your chosen color. Deselect.
Unhide the top blinkie layer. Using your magic wand tool, select every other square that you did not choose the first time. Floodfill with your selected color. Deselect.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.
Making certain, one of your blinkie layers is hidden, copy merged. Open up animation shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to PSP. Hide the unhidden blinkie layer and unhide the hidden blinkie layer. Copy merged. Paste after frame 1 in AS. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 14.
Optimize and save as gif.
