Sea-crets

This tutorial was written by me on 21 February 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the ethereal artwork of Selina Fenech. I bought this tube when CILM was still open. I don't know where you can get her tubes now, if anywhere, so just one that you like instead.
Scrapkit. I am using the lovely scrap Believe in Dreams by Cinnamon Scraps. If you wish to purchase this kit, you can here. Thank you, Laura!!

Ok! Let's get started. Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the cherry blossom wreathe layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D). Resize the layer by 99%, smartsize. Go to adjust > add.remove noise > add noise. Apply noise Gaussian and Monochrome checked, with a value of 15. Highlight the black cherry blossom layer. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 2, Opacity 65, Blur 2.00. Merge the paper and black cherry blossom wreathe layers together.
Highlight the middle frame fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Apply Xero Clarity with the following settings:
Delete the gray middle frame fill layer.
Highlight the outer frame fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray outer frame fill layer.
Highlight one of the frames. If you are using one of the pre-colored frames, apply Xero Porcelain with the following settings 2 times:
Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with:
Radius - 5
Strength 35
Clipping - 1
Luminance unchecked. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 30, Blur 5.00.
If you are using the plain black frame, select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice. Resize, 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the paper frame a drop shadow. Delete the frames that you are not using.
Open up element 18 (flower) from the kit. Resize by 3%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the original flower and the mirrored flower 1 time, for a total of 4 flowers. Position them to your liking on the frame.
Open up element 37 (leaves) from the kit. Resize by 7%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the leaves. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the original leaves and the mirrored leaves one time for a total of 4. Position them to your liking on the frame.
Open up element 38 (bow) from the kit. Resize by 5%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the bow. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the original bow and the mirrored bow 1 time each, for a total of 4. Position over the leaves.
Open up element 9 from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 90.00 degrees, both boxes unchecked. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them on the sides of the frame.
Open up element 36 (butterfly) from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the butterfly. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking.
Open up element 10 from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 20, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position to your liking.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 11.00. Arrange to your liking.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers together.
Highlight your white background. Open up element 15 (sparkles) from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 50, Blur 1.00. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored sparkles. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped sparkles. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking behind the tag. (see my tag for reference). Merge the 4 sparkle layers together.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply BflyFlbyMask59 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Resize the mask by 85%, smartsize. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V -2, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Center behind your tag.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight your the merged layer that contains your tube. Apply Texture Noise with the following settings:
Highlight your sparkles layer. Go to adjust > add/remove noise > add noise. Apply noise with Random and Monochrome checked, value set at 36. Copy merged. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo add noise. Edit > undo layer selection. Edit > undo texture noise. Apply Texture noise to your merged layer again, but this time hit the random seed button one time. Highlight your sparkles layer. Add noise, random and monochrome, but change the value to 44. Copy merged. Paste after frame 1 in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Undo 3 times. Apply texture noise to your merged layer again, same settings, but hit the random seed button. Highlight yor sparkle layer, and apply noise, changing the value to 54. Copy merged. Paste after frame 2 in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Edit > undo 3 times. Apply texture noise to your merged layer, hitting the random seed button. Highlight the sparkle layer. Add noise, changing the value to 60. Copy merged and paste after frame 3 in AS.
Back to PSP. Edit > undo 3 times. Apply texture noise to your merged layer, hitting the random seed button. Apply noise to the sparkle layer, changing the value to 48. Copy merged. Paste after frame 4 in AS.
You should have a total of 5 frames. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 15.
Optimize and save as gif.
