Pink Dreams

This tutorial was written by me on 2 February 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
2 tubes of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Rion Vernon (Pinuptoons) I bought this tube when CILM was still open. You can find his work at CDO now.
Scrap. I used the My Kuippo add one by Alane. You can purchase this plentiful addon for a steal here. There's also a really cool freebie quickpage available at her blog here. Thank you, Alane!!

Font of choice. I used Giddy STD (pay font)

Ok! Let's begin! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the oval layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 16%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 9.00. Delete the gray oval layer.
Highlight the solid hearts layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up another paper from the kit. Resize by 16%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00. Delete the dark gray solid hearts layer.
Highlight the dotted heart layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 16%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00. Delete the light gray dotted heart layer.
Highlight the hearts fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect yet!
Open up your first tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00. Duplicate the tube. Go to image > mirror. Place in the opposite heart. (see my tag for reference) Delete the gray hearts fill layer.
Highlight the hearts frames layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 4.00. Delete the gray hearts frame layer.
Highlight the curly brackets layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 5.00. Delete the gray curly brackets.
Open up a flying heart of choice from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the flying heart. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Open up a flower of choice from the kit. Resize by 8%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 90.00, both boxes unchecked. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Open up a heart of choice from the kit. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the heart. Position them to your liking.
Highlight your paper oval. Select, float and defloat. Open up the ribbon bow from the kit. Resize by 13%, smartsize. Copy the ribbon part. Paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position towards the left of the oval in the center. Duplicate the ribbon. Go to image > mirror. Highlight the paper oval. Select, float and defloat. Selections > invert. Highlight one ribbon layer. Hit delete. Highlight the other ribbon layer. Hit delete. Deselect. Give both ribbon layers a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00.
Resize the bow part of the ribbon by 50%, smartsize. Copy. Paste as a new selection onto your working image. Position in the middle of the ribbons. Give the bow a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 6.00. Deselect.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 90%, smartsize.
Highlight your white background. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with a color of your choosing. Apply the mask with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all Mask.
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 38, feather set at 20. Click inside the empty space of the mask layer. Floodfill the selection with the same color you used for your mask. Deselect. Resize the mask layer by 95%, smartsize.
Apply Xero Porcelain to your merged layer with the following settings:
Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with Radius - 5, Strength - 25, Clipping2.
Apply Porcelain to the mask layer using the same settings.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, then save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight your mask layer. Apply L & K's Zitah with the following settings:
Copy merged. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo Zitah. Apply Zitah again, but change control 0 to 5. Copy merged. Paste after frame 1 in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo Zitah. Apply ZItah again, but change control 0 to 6. Copy merged. Paste after frame 2 in AS.
Optimize and save as gif.
