Kisses From Paris

This tutorial was written by me on 13 February 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Aurelie Corre. I bought this tube when she was still with MPT. I don't where and if her work is available as tubes, so just use one that you like instead.
Scrapkit. I am using the elegant kit, French Kisses by Cinnamon Scraps. You can grab this awesome freebie here. Thank you, Laura!!

Font of choice. I used Alex Brush (pay font)
Plugins:
Xero Filters - Soft Mood and Grayscaler
Tramages - Eliminate Black
DSB Flux - Bright Noise
Kangs Filters 2 - Houdini is Sleeping
Xenofex 2 - Constellation
Animation Shop (opt)

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the merged layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 16%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 75, Blur 2.00. Delete the black merged layer.
Highlight the shape layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 9.00. Delete the black shape layer.
Open up your chosen label. Resize as necessary. Apply BflyFlby Mask 21 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Layer
Hide all mask
Delete the mask from your layer palette. Answer yes to the pop up box. Merge the group. Apply Xero Soft Mood with the following settings:
Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with the following settings:
Radius - 5
Strength - 35
Clipping - 0
Apply Xero Grayscaler with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00.
Open up a ribbon wrap from the kit. Resize by 8%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position in the center of the label. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00.
Open up a flower from the kit. Resize by 8%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position it in the center of the ribbon wrap. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 3.00.
Open up the lips from the kit. Resize by 3%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Position to your liking on the label.
Highlight the swirls layer. Select, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with a light color of choice. ( I used white ) Deselect. Apply DSB Flux Bright Noise with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 70, Blur 2.00.
Highlight the flower petals layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Go to effects > 3D effects > inner bevel. Apply with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 2, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Now, give it a drop shadow of H and V -2, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Delete the gray flower petals layer.
Highlight the flower center layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer the same inner bevel you gave the petals. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blut 4.00. Delete the gray flower center layer.
Highlight the shape doodle layer. You can either leave it white like I did, or add a paper. If you leave it white, add a texture filter of choice. Apply an inner bevel (same settings as before). Give them a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 80, Blur 2.00.
Highlight your white background. Open up the embellishment from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Go to adjust > sharpen. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V -1, Opacity 65, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the embellishment. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored embellishment. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped embellishment. Go to image > mirror. Position them as in my tag above.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background. Merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 90%, bicubic. Duplicate your merged layer. On your bottom layer, go to adjust > blur > gaussian blur. Apply with a radius of 15. Apply Kang - Houdini is Sleeping with the following settings:
Select, float and defloat. Apply Tramages Eliminate Black. Deselect. Go to adjust > sharpen.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, grab your freehand selection tool, type point to point, feather set at 0. Select around the eiffel tower of the label layer. Apply Constellation with the following settings:
Deselect. Highlight your houdini layer. Apply Constellation with the same settings. Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation n AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo constellation. Edit > undo layer selection. Edit > undo select none. Edit > undo constellation. Apply constellation to the eiffel tower, same settings, except hit the random seed button. Highlight your houdini layer and apply constellation. Copy merged. Paste after your current frame in AS.
Repeat the above steps 3 more times for a total of 5 frames.
Select all frames (CTRL+A). Change the frame properties to 8.
Optimize and save as gif.
