Kiss Collector

This tutorial was written by me on 6 February 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the sexy artwork of Elias Chatzoudis. I bought this tube when he was still with MPT. You can find his art at PSP Tubes Emporium now.
Scrap kit. I am using the awesome scrap Lover's Lane by Scraps with Attitude. If you wish to purchase this kit, you can here. Thank you, Missy!!

No other supplies needed.

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the top hearts layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL + D). Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 85, Blur 2.00. Delete the black top hearts layer.
Highlight the circles layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 10.00. Delete the gray circles layer.
Highlight the middle rectangle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 75%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Apply gradient glow with a light color using the following settings:
GIve the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 5.00. Apply gradient glow, same settings, again. Delete the gray middle rectangle layer.
Highlight the 2 rectangles layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 75%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Apply gradient glow, using a medium dark color, same settings as earlier. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray 2 rectangles layer.
Highlight the frame fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard and deselect. Delete the dark gray frame fill layer.
Highlight the frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper that contrast with your fill paper. Resize by 75%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Delete the black frame layer.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the frame. Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 12.00. Duplicate your tube. Drag the bottom tube layer just below your frame layer. (you should have one tube layer right above your frame and one right below your frame.)
Highlight your frame. Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 40, feather set at 0. Click inside the empty space of the frame. Go to selections > modify > expand by 2.00. Selections > invert. Highlight your bottom tube layer. Grab your eraser tool, size 40, opacity 100. Erase the part of the tube you don't want hanging over your frame. Deselect.
Highlight your top tube layer and erase the part of the tube you don't want hanging over your frame. Highlight your frame and give it a dropshadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 6.00.
Highlight the hearts border layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 85, Blur 2.00. Delete the black hearts border layer.
Open up the buckle ribbon heart from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Grab your freehand selection tool, type point to point, feather set at 0.00. Select around the one you would like to use. Copy. Paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the buckle. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking on the middle rectangle or see my tag for reference.
Open up a flower of choice from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the flower. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking on the circles or see my tag for reference.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the bow. Go to image > mirror. Position the bows to your liking on the frame.
Open up a ribbon eyelet from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 70, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the eyelet. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking or see my tag for reference.
Open up the bead string from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 2, Opacity 75, Blur 3.00. Position the beads underneath your hearts border layer.
Open up a hearts stitch from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00. Duplicate the heart. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the original heart. Duplicate the mirrored heart. Position two of them beneath the top rectangle corners. And the other two beneath the bottom rectangle corners. (see my tag for reference)
Highlight your top layer. Open up sign 2 from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position the sign in the middle of the heart border layer. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opaicty 65, Blur 5.00.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply BflyFlbyMask61 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all mask
Delete the mask from your layer palette. Answer yes to the pop up box. Merge the group. Give the mask a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 70, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the mask layer. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position the mask layers as in my tag above.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, then save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight the hearts border layer. Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 40, feather set at 0. Click inside the two outer empty hearts:
Go to selections > modify > expand by 3.00. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with a bright color. Deselect. Drag the new layer beneath your hearts border layer.
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to PSP. Delete the new floodfill layer. Highlight your hearts border layer. Grab your magic wand tool, same settings as before. Click inside the 2 inner empty hearts:
Go to selections > modify > expand by 3.00. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with the bright color. Drag the new floodfill layer beneath your hearts border layer.
Copy merged. Paste after frame 1 in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Highlight your sign layer. Apply Gradient Glow (color white) with the following settings:
Copy merged. Paste after frame 2 in AS.
In animation shop, highlight frame 2. Copy. Paste after frame 3. You should now have 4 frames. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 25. Highlight frame 3. Change the frame properties to 45.
Optimize and save as gif.
