It's a Jungle Out There

This tutorial was written on 18 February 2009. Any similarties to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the sensual artwork of Gennadiy Koufay. I don't know where you can find his art now, if anywhere, so just use a tube you like instead.
Scrapkit. I am using the wonderful scrap Wild Thing by Candy's Treats. If you wish to purchase this kit, you can here. Thank you, Diane!!

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the sweet grass 1 layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D). Give the layer a drop shadow of H -2, V -1, Opacity 75, Blur 2.00. Delete the gray sweet grass 1 layer.
Highlight the sweet grass 2 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H 2, V -1, Opacity 75, Blur 2.00. Delete the gray sweet grass 2 layer.
Open up cherry flower 2 from the kit. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 75, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the flowers. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored flowers. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped flowers. Go to image > mirror. Position the flowers in between the sweet grass (see my tag for reference)
Highlight the flower 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Delete the black flower 1 layer.
Repeat the same steps with the flower 3 layer, using the same paper.
Highlight the flower 2 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up another paper from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Delete the gray flower 2 layer.
Repeat the same steps with the flower 4 layer.
Merge the four flower layers together.
Select, float and defloat your merged layer. Open up the waterfall image. Resize by about 26%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Change the blend mode of the image to overlay.
Highlight the circle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 68%, smartsize. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect yet.
Open up the waterfall image again. Resize, 26%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Change the blend mode of the image to Luminance.
Highlight the paper circle and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Oapcity 60, Blur 5.00. Delete the white circle layer.
Highlight the flowers layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Apply Xero Soft Mood with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H 1and V -1, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Delete the dark gray flowers layer.
Open up the ivy from the kit. Resize by 40%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 2, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the ivy. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Open up the giraffe curl from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them over the ends of the ivy.
Open up the dragonfly. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking on the ivy.
Open up the butterfly. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V 1, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the butterfly. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored butterfly. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped butterfly. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking on the sweet grass.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Becky Mask023 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Resize the mask by 90%, smartsize. Go to effects > 3D effects > Textures > Weave. Apply with the following settings:
Apply AAA Textures with the following settings:
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give your tube a drop shadow of H -5, V 3, Opacity 70, Blur 8.00. Position to your liking.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you are not animating, then save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, grab your freehand selection tool, type - point to point, feather set at 1.00. Carefully select around the area that you want to sparkle. Apply Constellation with the following settings:
Deselect. Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo select none. Edit > undo constellation. Apply Constellation again, but this time hit the random seed button once. Copy merged. Paste after your current frame in AS.
Repeat the above steps 3 more times for a total of 5 frames.
Select all frames (CTRL+A). Change the frame properties to 13.
Optimize and save as gif.
