This tutorial was written by me on 29 November 2008.  Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
 
Supplies Needed:
 
Tube of choice.  I am using the fantastical artwork of ZIndy Nielsen.  If you wish to purchase a license you can here
 
Scrapkit.  I am using the beautiful scrapkit Snow Girls by Soxsational Scraps.  If you wish to purchase this scrap, you can here.  Thank you, Tracey!!

Falling Snow Animation
 
Font of choice.  I used Lavishly Yours (pay font)
 
 
Plugins

Let's get started!   Open up a new transparent image 700 width by 600 height.  Floodfill with white.
 
Open up a frame from the kit.  Resize by 80%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 30.00, feather set at 1.00.  Click inside the empty space of the frame.  Go to selections > modify > expand by 5.00. 
 
Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 60%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete.  Do NOT deselect!
 
Open up a star rain of choice.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Position to your liking within the selections.  Hit delete.  Still don't deselect!!
 
Open up your tube.  Resize, bicubic as necessary.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Position to your liking within the selection.  Hit delete and deselect.  Drag your frame to the top of your layer palette.
 
Give your a frame a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 25, Blur 10.00.
 
Highlight your tube and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00.
 
Highlight the star rain layer and give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 35, Blur 3.00.
 
Open up the window from the scrapkit.  Place it to the side of the frame.  Duplicate the window and place it on the other side of the frame (see my tag for reference)
 
 
Grab your magic wand tool, same settings as before.  Click inside the 4 empty spaces of one of the windows.  Go to selections > modify > expand by 3.00.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Resize by 60%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas and position the paper within the selection.  Selections > invert.  Hit delete on your keyboard.  Deselect.  Drag your paper beneath your window layer.  Highlight your window and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00.
 
Highlight your other window and repeat the above steps.
 
Open up 2 snow ladies of choice.  Resize them both by 25%, smartsize.  Copy and paste them as new layers onto your canvas.  Give them both drop shadows of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00.  Mirror one of the snow ladies and place them in the windows.  Draga both snow ladies under your window layers.  (see my tag for reference)
 
Open up a bow of choice.  Resize by 15%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00.  Duplicate the bow and mirror.  Position them on the windows to your liking.
 
Open up a house of choice.  Resize by 45%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 8.00.  Duplicate the house and mirror it.  Position them as in my tag above.
 
Highlight your white background.  Open up the Blue Iced Snowflake Wreathe.  Resize by 90%, smartsize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.  Position to your liking behind your frame.
 
Highlight your top layer.  Open up a delicate flower of choice.  Resize by 35%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00.  Duplicate the flower.  Go to image > mirror.  Position them to your liking on the frame. 
 
Open up another bow of choice.  Resize by 25%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00.  Duplicate the bow.  Go to image > mirror.  Position them to your liking on your frame.
 
Highlight your white background.  Open up a flower of choice.  Resize by 70%, smartsize.  Copy and paste onto your canvas.  Apply Mura Meister Copies with the following settings:

Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 10.00.
 
Highlight your white background.  Open up a paper of choice from the kit.  Don't resize.  Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.
 
Apply sg christmas mask 6:
 
Source Luminance
 
Fit to Canvas
 
Hide all mask
 
Delete the mask from your layer palette.  Answer yes to the pop up box and merge the group.  Give the mask a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 2.00.
 
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.  I added some star rain to the windows.  :-)
 
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers.  Resize your merged layer by 90%, bicubic.  Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask and apply:
 
Radius 5
Strength 15
clipping 1
 
Crop and resize to your liking. 
 
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.
 
If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
 
If you are animating, merge all of your layers together and copy.
 
Open up animation shop and paste as a new animation in AS.  Duplicate until you have a total of 10 frames.  Select all frames (CTRL+A)
 
Open up the falling snow mng file.  Select all frames (CTRL+A)  Copy.  Highlight your tag animation.  Go to Edit > Paste into selected frame.  Position and left click your mouse. 
 
Optimize and save as gif.
