Faces of Elias

This tutorial was written by me on 22 April 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
4 tubes of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Elias Chatzoudis. I purchased this art when he was still with MPT. Go to PSP Tubes Emporium to buy his art now.

Ok! Let's get started! Open up a new transparent image 800(w) x 700(h). Floodfill with white.
Open up Frame 7 from the Elements1 by Tammy folder. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 30, feather set at 0.00. Click inside the first, and third empty spaces of the frame. Go to selections > modify > expand by 5.00. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 22%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Don't deselect.
Open up your first 2 tubes of choice. Resize them as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste the first one onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the first empty space of the frame. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Copy and paste your second tube onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the third empty space of your frame. Hit delete. Deselect (CTRL+D). Give both tube layers a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00.
Highlight your frame layer. Grab your magic wand tool, same settings as before. Click inside the second and fourth empty spaces of the frame. Go to selections > modify > expand by 5.00. Open up another paper from the kit. Resize by 22%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Open up your third and fourth tube of choice. Resize them as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste one onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the second empty space of the frame. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Copy and paste the other tube onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give both tubes a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Highlight your frame layer. Drag it to the top of your layer palette. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 6.00. Hide your white background and merge your visible layers.
Open up a curly ribbon from the elements folder. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate right by 90.00, both boxes unchecked. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V -1, Opacity 55, Blur 4.00. Position to your liking on the frame.
Open up beads of choice from the Elements 1 by Tammy Folder. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H -2, V -1, Opacity 55, Blur 4.00. Position them to your liking on the frame.
Open up a pair of sunglasses from the elements folder. Resize by 3%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 4.00. Postioin to your liking on the frame.
Open up a bow from the elements folder. Resize by 8%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 4.00. Position to your liking on the frame.
Open up a flower from the Elements 1 by Tammy Folder. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position the flowers next to each other, so that they overlap a bit, in the center of the frame. Drag both flower layers beneath your frame layer.
Open up a Frame Book from Elements 1 by Tammy folder. Resize by 12%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 10.00. Position towards the left of the frame behind it.
Open up a Folder Heart Tag from elements 1 by Tammy. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 10.00. Position it behind the frame, towards the left.
Open up a Heart Rope from the elements folder. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V -1, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Position to your liking on the heart tag.
Open up Heart Charm 1 or 2 from the elements 1 by Tammy folder. Resize by 8%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V -1, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Position to your liking on the frame book.
Open up a bow from the Elements 1 by Tammy folder. Resize by 5%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Position to your liking.
Highlight your white background. Open up the Flower Tree from the Elements 1 by Tammy Folder. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Positin the trees as in my tag above.
Highlight your white background. Open up another flower from the elements 1 by Tammy folder. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 10.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them as in my tag above.
Open up a rubber band from the elements 2 by Tammy Folder. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. If necessary, rotate so that it is horizontal. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate each rubber band one time each. Position 2 at the top of the tag and the other two at the bottom.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 85%, bicubic.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 22%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Vix Mask 280 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all mask.
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group.
Open up another paper from the kit. Resize by 22%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Vix Mask 292, same settings. Resize the mask by 85%, smartsize. Merge the 2 mask layers together. Apply Xero Fritillary with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H 2m V -1, Opacity 50, Blur 2.00.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text.
Save as JPG or PNG.
