Dreams Come True

This tutorial was written by me on 30 June 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Elias Chatzoudis. This tube was purchased when he was stil with MPT. You can now purchase his artwork at PSP Tubes Emporium.
Scrapkit. I am using Spilled Glitter by Butterfly Blush Designs. If you would like to purchase this gorgeous kit, you can here. Thank you, Brooke!!
2 fonts of choice. I used Mea Culpa (pay font) and Will & Grace, which you can get here.
No outside filters or other supplies needed

OK! Let's get started! Open up a new transaprent image 800 (w) x 650 (h). Floodfill with white.
Open up a lace frame from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Move the frame to the left of your canvas. Grab your magic wand tool, tolerance set at 100, feather set at 0.00. Click inside the empty space of the frame, so that there are marching ants all around it. Go to selections > modify > expand by 6.00. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 60%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Drag the paper layer beneath your frame layer. Highlight the the frame and give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Hide your white background and merge the paper and frame layers together.
Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. On your materials palette, make the paper your background pattern, angle 0, scale 100. Change your foreground to a color that matches your paper. (I made it white for better contrast). Grab your preset shape tool - rectangle. Change the line style to Solid, the width to 6.00, Create on Vector checked. Draw out a rectangle long enough to almost fill your canvas, and high enough to accomodate the frame. It should be taller than your frame. (see my tag for reference) On your layer palette, convert to a raster layer. The rectangle should be below your frame layer. Position as in my tag above. Give the rectangle a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 10.00.
Highlight your rectangle layer. Open up a lace ribbon that matches your frame. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 90.00, both boxes unchecked. Give the ribbon a drop shadow of H 2, V0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Arrange the ribbon so that the bow is towards the bottom of the rectangle, and so it is position to the right of the rectangle. (see my tag for reference) Highlight your rectangle layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Highlight yor lace ribbon layer. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete 2x on your keyboard. Deselect.
Open up both daisies from the kit. Resize one by 75%, smartsize, and the other by 70. Copy and paste both daisies onto your canvas. Give them both a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 7.00. Duplicate the smaller daisy. Arrange the daisies vertically under the lace ribbon, the larger one in the center. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a folded ribbon from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 0, V 3, Opacity 65, Blur 7.00. Position the folded ribbon so that the end meets the bottom left corner of the rectangle.
Open up a calla lilies from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give them a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Oapcity 65, Blur 5.00. Position the flowers so that the ends of the bouquest are under the folded ribbon.
Open up the glitter heart border from the kit. Resize by 65%, smartsize. Go to adjust > sharpen. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00. Position the glitter hearts at the left side of rectangle under the frame.
Open up 2 doubles bows from the kit. Resize one by 50%, smartsize, and the other by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste the larger bow as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 15.00, both boxes unchecked. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 6.00. Position the bow at the upper left corner of the rectangle. Copy and paste the smaller as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 55, Blur 4.00. Position it on top of the larger bow.
Open up a book from the kit. Resize by 75%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate left by 18.00, both boxes unchecked. Go to adust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with a radius of 5, strength 40, clipping 1. Give the book a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 7.00.
Open up a butterfly from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -3, V -1, Opacity 60, Blur 4.00. Position it at the top left corner of the book.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give your tube a drop shadow of H -8, V -3, Opacity 45, Blur 12.00. Now give your tube a drop shadow of H 5, V 4, Opacity 35, Blur 8.00. Arrange the tube to your liking.
Hide your white background and merge your visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 90%, bicubic. Go to adjust > sharpness > unsharp mask. Apply with a radius of 5, strength 15, clipping 1.
Highlight your white background. Open up a spilled glitter of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position the glitter at top left corner of the tag so it is visible at the top and at the sids of the merged layer. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored glitter. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped glitter. Go to image > mirror. Merge your glitter layers together.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and your text. If you like, using a scripty font, type out some small text on the book.
If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight the merged spilled glitter layer. Go to adjust > add/remove noise > add noise. Apply with Random and Monochrome checked, value set to 15. Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro, go to edit > undo noise. Apply noise again, Random, Monochrome checked, value set to 20. Copy merged. Paste after frame 1 in AS.
Back in PSP, go to edit > undo noise. Apply noise again, same settings, but change the value to 25. Copy merged and paste after frame 2 in AS.
In PSP, edit > undo noise. Apply noise, same settings, but change the value to 30. Copy merged. Paste after frame 3 in AS.
In PSP, edit > undo. Apply noise, Random and Monochrome checked, value set to 23. Copy merged. Paste after frame 4 in AS.
Back to PSP, edit > undo noise. Apply noise, same settings, value set to 18. Copy merged. Paste after frame 5 in AS.
You should have a total of 6 frames. In Animation Shop, select all frames (CTRL+A). Change the frame properties to 15.
Optimize and save as gif.
