Cowgirl Kisses

This tutorial was written by me on 8 February 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube and close up of choice. I am using the stunning artwork of Jennifer Janesko. I purchased this tube when CILM was still open. You can now find her art at CDO.
Scrapkit. I am using the beautiful scrap, Miss Independent by Tina of Tina's Magical Scrap World. If you wish to purchase this kit, you can here. Thank you, Tina!!
Template 120 made by me which you can download here.
Becky Mask042. Unfortunately, her site is now closed. :-(
Font of choice. I used Shalimar Swash (pay font)
Plugins:
Eyecandy 5 Impact - Gradient Glow
Eyecandy 5 Textures - Texture Noise

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the circles layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Apply Gradient Glow with the following settings:
Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 5.00. Delete the dark gray circles layer.
Highlight the 2 rectangles layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Apply Gradient Glow, same settings as before. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Delete the dark gray 2 rectangles layer.
Highlight the middle rectangle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 5.00. Delete the black middle rectangle layer.
Highlight the diamond fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 79%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Open up your close up. Resize, if necessary. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking. Hit delete. Deselect. Change the blend mode of the tube to Luminance (Legacy). Delete the gray diamond fill layer.
Highlight the diamonds layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 70%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Apply Gradient Glow, same settings as earlier. Give the diamonds a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 6.00. Delete the black diamonds layer.
Highlight the circle 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 14.00. Delete the gray circle 1 layer.
Highlight the circle 2 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect.
Open up your tube from the kit. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking. Hit delete and deselect. Give your tube a drop shadow of H 5, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00.
Highlight the paper circle 2 layer. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 12.00. Delete the white circle 2 layer.
Open up a bow tie of choice from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. GIve it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the bow tie. Go to image > flip. Position on bow tie at the top of middle rectangle. Position the other at the bottom of the middle rectangle.
Open up a sequin of choice. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 70, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the sequin. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking or see my tag for reference.
Highlight your white background. Open up a heart of choice. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the heart. Go to image > mirror. Position the hearts as in my tag above.
Open up a doodle of choice. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to image > free rotate. Rotate right by 90.00, both boxes unchecked. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 70, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the doodle. Go to image > mirror. Duplicate the mirrored doodle. Go to image > flip. Duplicate the flipped doodle. Go to image > mirror. Position the doodles as in my tag above.
Highlight your white background. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with a bright color of choice. Apply Becky Mask042 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all Mask.
Delete the mask from your layer palette. Answer yes to the pop up box. Merge the group.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, then highlight your Luminance Legacy close up layer. Apply Texture Noise with the following settings:
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo texture noise. Apply texture noise again, but this time, hit the random seed button. Copy merged. Paste after your current frame in AS.
Repeat the above step, 3 more times for a total of 5 frames.
Select all frames (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 13.
Optimize and save as gif.
