Christmas Wish Kiss

This tutorial was written by me on 9 December 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Ismael Rac. I got this tube when he was still with MPT. You can find him at his store here

Falling Snow
Font of choice. I used Scarlet Ribbons (pay font)
Animation Shop (opt)
No outside plugins needed

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Hold down shift + d to duplicate. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the 2 rectangles layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D). Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00. Delete the gray 2 rectangles layer.
Highlight the middle rectangle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the light gray middle rectangle layer.
Highlight the circle fill 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Delete the gray circle fill 1 layer.
Highlight the circle fill 2 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up the same paper you used for the first circle fill. Go to image > mirror. Resize the paper by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray circle fill 2 layer.
Highlight the circles frames layer. Select, float and defloat. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with a color of choice. (I used white) Deselect. Give the frames a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray circle frames.
Highlight the large rectangle frame. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Do NOT deselect.
Open up your tube. Resize, if necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Position to you rliking within the selection. Give your tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 12.00.
Highlight the large paper rectangle. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 12.00. Delete the black large rectangle layer.
Open up a bow of choice. Resize by 63%, smartsize. Copy and paste as new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Position in the center of the large rectangle.
Open up another bow of choice. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00. Duplicate the bow. Go to image > mirror. Position the bows to your liking at the top of the large rectangle.
Open up a bauble of choice. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 6.00. Duplicate the bauble. Go to image > mirror. Position the baubles in the middle of your bows. (see my tag for reference)
Open up the mistletoeribbons. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 7.00. Position over your tube's head.
Open up another bow of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the bow. Go to image > mirror. Position the bows to your liking.
Open up another bauble of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the bauble and go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Open up the holly from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 7.00. Duplicate the holly. Go to image > mirror. Position as in my tag above.
Open up the tree from the kit. Resize by 40%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 10.0. Position the tree in the middle of the large rectangle towards the bottom. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a gift box of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 8.00. Duplicate the gift box. Mirror the gift box and position both boxes next to the tree.
Open up another gift box of choice. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it the same drop shadow you gave your other gift box. Duplicate and mirror. Position them next to the other boxes.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Hide your white background. Merge all visible layers. Resize your merged layer by 95%, bicubic.
Unhide your white background layer and highlight it. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Don't resize and paste it as a new layer onto your canvas. Apply SabreChristmasmakquill2 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all mask
Delete the mask on your layer palette. Answer yes to the pop up box and merge the group.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and text. If you are not animating, then save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, merge your white background and mask layer together. Copy.
Open up animation shop and paste your merged background and mask layer as a new animation. Duplicate until you have a total of 10 frames. Select all frames (CTRL+A)
Open up the falling snow mng file. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Copy. Highlight your working image and go to edit > paste into selected frame. Position and left click your mouse.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Hide your white background and mask layer. Copy merged your tag and text layers.
Paste as a new animation in AS. Duplicate until you have a total of 10 frames. Select all frames (CTRL+A) Copy. Highlight your snow, mask animation. Go to edit > paste into selected frame. Position, and left click your mouse.
Optimize and save as gif.
