Be Mine Valentine

This tutorial was written by me on 31 Decemeber 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the sexy artwork of Keith Garvey. I bought this tube when he was still with MPT. You can find him at PSP Tubes Emporium now.
Scrapkit. I am using the awesome kit Forever My Valentine by Scraps with Attitude. If you wish to purchase this kit, you can here. Thank you, Missy!!

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the dotted hearts layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 2.00. Delete the black dotted hearts layer.
Highlight the rounded rectangles layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray rounded rectangles.
Highlight the hearts doodle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H -1, V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 2.00. Delete the dark gray hearts doodle layer.
Highlight the hearts frame fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the gray hearts frame fill layer.
Highlight the hearts frame. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 7.00. Delete the gray hearts frame layer.
Highlight the frame fill 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 68%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect yet.
Open up your tube. Resize, bicubic, as necessary. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Duplicate the tube layer. Change the blend mode of the bottom tube layer to Luminance (Legacy) Highlight the top tube layer and change the blend mode to Screen. Delete the black frame 1 fill.
Highlight the frame fill 2 layer and repeat all the same steps you did with the frame fill 1 layer, except this time mirror your tube.
Give both frame 1 and frame 2 a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 45, Blur 4.00.
Open up a ribbon bow of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the bow. Position them to your liking on the rectangles.
Open up a butterfly from the kit. Resize by 10%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Duplicate the butterfly. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking on the frames.
Open up another butterfly of choice. Resize by 5%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate the butterfly 3 times for a total of 4. Mirror 2 of the butterflies. Position them to your liking on the frames.
Open up the clouds by Rainbow Coffi. Select around the cloud you would like to use. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Resize the cloud by 20%, smartsize (all layers unchecked!!) Give the cloud a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 15, Blur 8.00. Duplicate the cloud. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking.
Add any other embellishments of your choosing.
Open up your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 12.00. Position to your liking.
Hide your white background. Merge your visible layers together. Resize the merged layer by 90%, bicubic. Duplicate the merged layer. On the bottom layer, go to adjust > blur > gaussian blur. Apply with a radius of 15.00. On the blurred layer, go to effects > texture effects > weave. Apply with the following settings:
Apply FM Tile Tools Blend Emboss with the default settings.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Apply Vix's mask with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all mask.
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group.
Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new raster layer with white. Apply the mask again, same settings. Give the mask layer a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 60, Blur 2.00.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and text. If you are not animating, then save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight the bottom mask layer. Apply Constellation with the following settings:
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to Paint Shop Pro. Go to edit > undo constellation. Apply constellation again, but this time hit the random seed button. Copy merged. Paste after your current frame in AS.
Repeat the above steps 2 more times for a total of 4 frames.
Select all frames (CTRL+A). Change the frame properties to 12.
Optimize and save as gif.
