Sweet Tooth

This tutorial was written by me on 25 March 2009. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Rion Vernon. (Pinuptoons) I got this art when CILM was still open. Now you can get his art at CDO.

Ok! Let's get started! Open up my template. Duplicate by holding down shift + d. Close the original. Delete the credit info layer.
Highlight the circle fill layer. Go to selections > select all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete. Don't deselect yet.
Open your tube. Resize as necessary, bicubic. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking within the selection. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL + D). Change the blend mode of the tube to Luminance (Legacy). Give your tube a drop shadow of H -6, V 2, Opacity 65, Blur 8.00. Delete the dark gray circle fill layer.
Highlight the hearts frame layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize by 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 75, Blur 7.00. Delete the gray hearts frame layer.
Highlight the left heart fill layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete and deselect. Delete the black left heart fill layer.
Highlight the right heart fill layer and repeat the above steps.
Highlight the left heart box. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize, 80%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect. Apply Gradient Glow with a color of choice, with the following settings:
Apply Gradient Glow one more time, same settings. Give the layer a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 3.00. Delete the gray left heart box layer.
Highlight the right heart box layer. Select, float and defloat. Copy and paste the same paper (resized) that you used for the left heart box, as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Apply Gradient Glow, same settings, 2x. Give the layer a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 70, Blur 3.00. Delete the gray right heart box layer.
Highlight your hearts frame layer. Open up the two toned ribbon from the kit. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 65, Blur 5.00. Position towards the bottom of the hearts frame.
Open up safety pin 1 from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacity 65, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them at the ends of the two toned ribbon.
Open up tag 2 from the kit. Resize by 30%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drops hadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 4.00. Position in the middle of the ribbon. (see my tag for reference)
Open up bow 1 from the kit. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Position at the top of the tag string.
Highlight the hearts frame layer. Open up flowers of choice. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give the a drop shadow of H 2, V 1, Opacity 65, Blur 2.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them on both sides of the frame. (see my tag for reference)
Open up a button of choice. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Duplicate the button. Position to your liking on the hearts frame.
Open up a sparkle flower of choice. Resize by 15%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 3.00. Position in between the 2 buttons.
Open up the lock from the kit. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking on the heart boxes.
Open up a fabric flower of choice. Resize by 20%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 1, Opacty 55, Blur 2.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking on the heart boxes.
Open up a knotted bow from the kit. Resize by 25%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V 1, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position them to your liking on the heart boxes.
Open a cupcake from the kit. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position at the bottom of the heart boxes.
Open up the other cupcake. Resize, 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of h and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 4.00. Duplicate. Mirror. Position one on either side of the tag. (see my tag for reference)
Highlight your white background. Open up the jute string. Resize by 90%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 2, Opacity 55, Blur 2.00. Duplicate the string. Go to image > mirror. Then, image > flip. Position to your liking.
Open up the curly string. Resize by 45%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 2, Opacity 55, Blur 2.00. Duplicate. Go to image > mirror. Position to your liking.
Highlight your top layer. Open up the word art. Resize by 35%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H -2, V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 3.00. Position to your liking.
Highlight your white background. Open up a paper from the kit. Don't resize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto our canvas. Apply GG_Mask 24 with the following settings:
Source Luminance
Fit to Canvas
Hide all Mask
Delete the mask, answer yes and merge the group. Resize the mask by 90%, smartsize. Give it a drop shadow of H 2, V 0, Opacity 45, Blur 3.00.
Highlight your white background. Add a new raster layer. Open up another paper from the kit. Make it your foreground pattern. Grab a brush of choice. Add some color to the new layer. When you are satisfied, add a texture filter of choice.
Crop and resize to your liking.
Add your copyright info, watermark and text. If you are not animating, save as JPG or PNG.
If you are animating, highlight your tube layer. Grab your freehand selection tool, type point to point, feather set at 1.00. Select around areas that you want to add "sprinkles" to. Promote the selection to layer. Deselect. Apply Constellation with the following settings:
I didn't want my "sprinkles" white, so I went to Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Hue/Saturation/Lightness. You can play around with the settings, until you find a color that you like. These are the settings I used:
The Hue determines the shade (i.e. blue, red etc.), the saturations controls how bright or dull the color is, and Lightness is self explanatory. lol
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation in AS.
Back to PSP. Go to edit > undo Hue/Saturation/Lightness. Edit > undo Constellation. Apply constellation again, same settings, but this time, hit the random seed button. Go to adjust > Hue and Saturation > Hue/Saturation/Lightness. Use the same settings you did before. Copy merged. Paste after your current frame in AS.
Repeat the above steps 3 more times for a total of 5 frames.
Select all frames (CTRL+A) Change the frame properties to 14.
Optimize and save as gif.
