Feel the Music

This tutorial was written by me on 5 November 2008. Any similarities to other tutorials is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Angie Monsastero. I got this tube when CILM was still open. I don't know where you can find her work so just use a tube you like instead.

Font of choice. I used Punk which you can download from here
Plugins
Let's get started. Open up my template and delete the credits. Highlight the left star layer. Go to selections > select > all. Selections > float. Selections > defloat. Open up a paper of choice from the kit. Resize by 92%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to selections > invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Deselect (CTRL+D) Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00 Delete the black star.
Highlight the right star layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice. Resize 92%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00 Delete the black star.
Highlight the bottom rectangle. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice. Resize 92%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 8.00. Delete the gray rectangle. Repeat the same steps with the middle and top rectangles.
Highlight the circle layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper from the kit. Resize 92%, smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the circle a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 5.00. Delete the gray circle.
Highlight the fill 1 layer. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice. Resize 92%. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Delete the gray fill layer. Highlight frame 1. Give it a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Repeat the same steps with the fill 2 and 3 layers, and the frame 2 and 3 layer.
Highlight music note 1. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice. Resize 92%, Copy and paste as a new layer onto the canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00. Delete the black music note.
Highlight music note 2. Select, float and defloat. Open up a paper of choice. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Selections > invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Give the layer a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00.
Highlight music note 3. Choose a medium dark color from your tube (I used color #df2a87) Select, float and defloat the music note. Add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new layer with the color. Repeat the same steps with Music note 4 and 5. Delete the black music notes 3,4 and 5.
Merge the colored music notes together.
Add any embellishments of your liking. I added the cell phone sunglasses and some flowers. Get creative! :-)
Open up your tube. Resize bicubic if necessary. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Position to your liking and give the tube a drop shadow of H and V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 10.00.
Highlight your white background. Open up a doodle of choice. Resize by 50%, smartsize. Copy and paste onto your canvas. Give it a drop shadow of H 1, V 0, Opacity 30, Blur 2.00. Duplicate and mirror the tube. Position to your liking.
Open up a paper of choice. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Apply VIx's mask:
Source Lumincance
Fit to Layer
Hide all mask.
Delete the mask from your layer palette. Answer yes and merge the group.
Duplicate the mask. Mirror the duplicated mask. Position them to your liking.
Crop and resize to your liking. Add your copyright info, watermark, and text.
Highlight the music notes layer. Apply Xero Frillitary with the following settings:
Copy merged. Open up Animation Shop. Paste as a new animation. Back to PSP. Go to Edit > undo Frillitary. Apply Fritillary again, but this change the variation to 117. Copy merged. Paste frame 1 in AS.
Back to PSP. Edit > undo Fritillary. Apply Fritillary again but change the variation to 119. Copy merged.
Paste Frame 2 in AS
In PSP, Undo Fritillary. Apply changing the variation to 121. Copy merged. Paste after Frame 3 in AS.
You should have a total of 4 frames.
Optimize and save as gif.
